Hello!

It’s always flattering to hear that people are still reading and enjoying my fanfics. I’ll forever be grateful to the fandom for giving me a place to fall in love with writing and to practice my craft. That said, I tend to think of my fanfic days as a fun chapter that’s mostly behind me. These days my energy is focused on my published works, which I release under the pen name Tessa Alexandra.

So no, I don’t have plans to write new Harry/Hermione fics. But I’ll never say never!

And to answer the follow-up I know is coming: Why do you say fanfic is behind you when I’ve seen countless updates from your current Dramione fic?

That project was a quick, epistolary-style story I wrote with a friend—more of a fun, one-off project than a full return to fanfic writing.

I'm slowly working on a Dramione story with @onebedtorulethemall. But as we're both fitting it in between our other projects, it's going slowly. But I'm sure we'll start posting it sometime this year (even if it's Dec 31, 2025). 😆

My main project right now is my first original series, which feels like it's taking forever. I started writing it at the end of 2022 and I'm still not finished, but I expect to wrap up the bulk of the work this summer.

Writing a fun, no-pressure fic sounds like a great way to celebrate being done with a giant project like that, so maybe that's just what I'll do.

My book finally has a cover, a blurb, and a launch date! It’s starting to feel a lot more real. Be warned, I’m going to be doing a lot of 1-2-3 marketing with a launch date of 1/23. 😂

We have the talented Gabriella at GR Book Covers for that gorgeous cover. I went to her with zero ideas about what I wanted, but she did a great job of drawing it out of me.
