Soft as the Sunset

This popped up on Threads the other day and I immediately made myself a nuisance in several people's DMs.

oh. my. god.

Now that I've had time to calm down, I want to highlight a few things.

First, look at Hongjoong's face.

Man is seriously annoyed, possibly tipping over into actually pissed off. Luckily, he has his favorite stress ball (Seonghwa) right there!

I'm joking but also I'm not. Look at how Hongjoong uses touching Seonghwa as a way to ground himself and regulate his emotions.

He's got his left hand on Seonghwa's back., and it looks like he's about to cup Seonghwa's neck with his right hand (that seems to be something they both enjoy) before abruptly stopping. Maybe he realized that doing that on a live is one thing, but he shouldn't do it in public. It seems to frustrate him further, but he pivots like the captain he is, and instead uses his left hand to give Seonghwa's shoulder a squeeze and then slowly runs that hand very possessively down Seonghwa's back.

Look at that, he's feeling so much better. He's even smiling a bit at the end!

We know that having Hongjoong around can reassure Seonghwa, but it's lovely (and fascinating) to see how the reverse is true for Hongjoong
