What do you think happens to Pride/Selim after he was reborn? Do you think he retains/regains any memories/abilities/beliefs of his past self? Do you think he'll become an alchemist/join the military/converse or make up with his past enemies? How do you think the military will treat him? Personally I have no doubt that he'll regain his memories eventually, loves his mother dearly, and at the very least not be a man-eating mass murdering war criminal.

I have some difficulty settling on one headcanon continuity because I find all the possibilities interesting. I love reading other people's interpretations.
But mainly I agree, I think it's likely he will recover his memories. But he probably won't have any powers or be severely limited. (If he can use shadows I imagine it will be like trying to play assassin's creed unity on an IBM)
Idk whether he'll join the military out of his own free will. I feel like if he joins it'll be because they're holding his past over his head. He doesn't strike me as someone naturally interested in being a soldier/state alchemist
As far as civilian careers go he could be a historian or a corporate executive lmao. Or maybe Bradley has left him enough so he can just sit around and write scathing book reviews or something.
I don't think he's automatically going to be a good person. I know Grumman calls him yasashi in ep 64 but like. He was two years old. Not throwing a tantrum every five seconds is yasashi enough. Or not actively murdering people.
He will probably always have a prideful streak, but he could try to temper that aspect of himself for his mother. And going through life as a human will probably give him a somewhat different perspective on friendship, love, society, mortality, and such other topics as well
Any change for him will come very slowly, like water smoothing a rock. He has centuries of issues and habits to sort out.
I sort of have this headcanon (there's definitely self-projection here) that pre-promised day Wrath was interested in philosophy but Pride was kind of dimissive of (he's read all the relevant books and could beat Protagoras in sophistry, but stupid humans will all be absorbed by Father anyway, so ultimately there's no point bothering with the meaning of life), but after he was reborn and began to remember his past he had to rethink his conversations with Wrath from back in the day
