I still get notifications about a post that I made when I was deep in the Thorki fandom 10+ years ago and it was a post about "These are the negative qualities about Thor that Loki talks about" vs "But here are the corresponding good/opposite qualities that Thor had always had inside of him" that was not that serious but DAMN the amount of hate and accusations about me being a supposed Loki-hater or Thor-character-development-eraser I still get for this is insane.

Like dudes chill out I am the No. 1 Loki defender for 15 years now and I am NOT erasing Thor's character development just because I point out qualities he always had what the fuck is everyone on who sends me these messages or hate on me in the tags

- Finished Pieces TM are NOT the only works that matter. That half-lined sketch is good. That page of nothing but shapes and doodles is progress. If you’re doing whatever it is that you CAN do that day, you’re doing well

- take. BREAKS. as often as you need to. stop when you gotta. if you try to dig into tomorrow’s spoons to finish something, trust me, you’re going to hate yourself and whatever you’re working on later

- if you really want to, you CAN draw (or paint, or sculpt, or craft etc.) every day

- everything counts. everything. can’t draw for more than 20 minutes today? you drew. less than 5? you drew. take a pencil and draw three different circles on a sticky note. you drew. lay out your arm and trace whatever comes to mind with you finger. everything counts.

- if you drew SOMETHING today, you gained more experience than someone who did not

- draw whatever you want

- reward yourself for it

- don’t get so wrapped up in something that you forget to eat, drink water or sleep please. if you can’t make yourself care about what it does to your body, remember it WILL affect your productivity, which will lead to Bad Times, again, trust me

- you are SOMEONE’S art goals

- your art is good

- “this person doesn’t know me or my art, how do they know it’s good-” shh. doesn’t matter. its good

04. Lineart or colouring?

It depends c: ! I really love lineart but sometimes the colouring part is really great, especially when I use simple colours and I really adore playing with lighting in my pictures! I guess when it’s just people I draw, I really love colouring them. But when there’s a backgroud I tend to leave it like that and not colour it because it’s to much work ahaha /D!

12. Any weird artist behaviour you admit doing?

I don’t think it counts as weird but I’m (unfortunately) often starting pictures and then ending up not finishing them because in my head the picture already looks amazing and it just takes so much time like uGH NO. You should see my folder with unfinished thorki sketches pffft it’s ridiculous.

I usually listen to music when I draw but sometimes I turn on LPs of games I already know and by now I just ended up watching the same LPs over and over again for the millionth time idk why I do that??

I always need tea and something to snack on because I get grumpy and hate everything when I’m hungry.

Also finishing a piece and loving it and then the next day I’m looking at it and think: what the hell is this piece of crap??!?!?
