Amity: Yes, that. Was it us? She reminds me a bit of me but during the years before I met you, Batata. Iβm not like Odalia am I?
Luz: No, of course not Sweet Potato. Youβre the best mom ever. Azura can be a bit of a stickler but she isnβt anywhere close to how Odalia had you.
Sasha whoβs helping Anne making lunch: I havenβt had a real chance to talk with her but based on my observations and from what our kids have said about her, itβs because Azura feels like she needs to live up to your legacy. She likely has heard stories of your legend from both you and others and now doesnβt want to disappoint you by βbeing lesserβ and so she feels like she has to be perfect or else sheβll be disgracing the family name.
Amity: But she doesnβt need to do that. We love her regardless.
Sasha: Letting her know that is a start. Also celebrating her accomplishments both academic and personal as something she achieved due to her own work rather than any legacy she might believe she needs to live up to.
