Bakugou being reincarnated as a Pearl is definitely a fun idea, I'd love to read a fic about Bakugou being reincarnated as an Orange Diamond made from Pink Diamond's harvested [fake] Shards to be her replacement. [Or if not Pink's Shards, then however you decide Diamond's are made.]

In that scenario it'd be an interesting twist if Yellow Diamond was the one to create Bakugou behind the other Diamond's back as a way to fix the Empire and make the other two move on, instead of White creating the new Diamond like in most other SU Self-inserts, crossover reincarnates, or new Diamond fics I've read. I think Yellow making a new Diamond to take Pink's empty spot that will (in her mind) make the Diamonds get back to work would be interesting to read.

While Pink was Blue's baby, "Orange" would definitely be Yellow's baby. I just feel like Yellow and Bakugou would bond really well, once Bakugou gets his shit together. No way he wouldn't loss his mind and maybe run away for awhile there until he realizes, "Oh shit, I wasn't kidnapped by cultist psychopaths (again) and have actually been reincarnated as some kind of alien rock prince... well fuck."

[Or maybe Izuku could reincarnate as a Green Diamond? He and Yellow would get along just as well as Yellow and Bakugou would, if for different reasons. Perhaps Shinsou as a Purple Diamond or Shouto as a Bi-Color Diamond? You decide.]

Izuku would probably be like "Aw heck no" to the near EVERYTHING of Gem Society and manipulate the other Diamonds into being better people without them even realizing it (though he would deny that it's manipulation to begin with), his Pearl would probably end up being more of a research assistant then a servant.

Bakugou would either love the attention or hate it depending on when he was pulled from his timeline and would absolutely train his Pearl to fight 'cause no "extra" that he's forced to take everywhere with him is going to be a weak liability in a fight. (I don't think he'd vibe with the slavery part of the Empire no matter when he's from, it just might take a minute to register as such if it early on in MHA.) As for a Spinel? Bakugou'd probably hate her to be honest, at least until she could fight him and WIN.

Shouto would just be happy to be away from his father but won't be happy about the 3 Diamond acting like a watered down version of his father to him (individually in different ways), though I can see him either liking or disliking his Pearl depending on how he gets her and if he had a Spinel he wouldn't understand the point of her at all. (Shouto, honey, your autism is showing. *Joke*)

Shinsou is the opposite of Pink Diamond in almost everyway and I can see that causing some fun crisis dilemmas for the other Diamonds (like they give "Purple Diamond" a Pearl to motivate him to work and a Spinel to cheer him up, but all he wants to do is nap and use his new Astro Projection powers to spy on other Gems and manipulate things behind the scenes.)

Midoriya Izuku/Green Diamond - The Diamond of Analysis, Research, and Discovery.

Bakugou Katsuki/Orange Diamond - The Diamond of Battle, Strategy, and Victory.

Todoroki Shouto/Bi-Color(?) Diamond - The Diamond of Duality, Temperature, and Stoicism. [IDK what to do with him. 🤷‍♀️]

Shinsou Hitoshi/Purple Diamond - The Diamond of "Mediation/Serenity", Espionage, and Persuasion.

Kirishima Enjiro/Red Diamond - The Diamond of Honor, Principal, and Diligence.

i have watched season 1, and i used to read the manga, but i dropped it way back in 2018 and i haven't touched it since. i mean, i do know how it ended, i did hear quite a few things, but tbh, i'm not really interested in it anymore.

truthfully, i don't have much context.

There's no way all the Crystal Gems got Corrupted and some didn't escape during the evacuation with the Homeworld Gems. Like there HAD be Crystal Gems that had shifted their forms to a Homeworld Diamond Uniform and joined the fleeing ships.

Why is the possibility of secret Crystal Gems on Homeworld never explored in fanfics? Or the possibility of other rebel groups starting up and other wars going on as a result? What about another rebel group trying to kill Steven/Nora/Whoever after they come to Homeworld and are announced as the new fourth Diamond?

Definitely something I think should be explored more often.

i do think i read a similar idea once, but i can't recall the name of the fic now. it had some rebels hiding in HW, but it wasn't steven POV so there wasn't that much focus on that
