Some Weird Thoughts about the Chiss Species (Mostly in Swtor)
(These are just my headcannon based on Wookiepedia, and I'm just obsessed with these blueberries's bio-features🫐
————————————————————————————————
Their blood is a dark red color, and congestion manifests itself as a darker bluish purple color of the skin.
They clot faster when injured, preventing massive blood loss leading to rapid temperature loss under cold environment.
Their gestation period is slightly longer than humans, and after giving birth, the fetus needs to be exposed to cold environments or transferred to a cryogenic incubator (if premature birth) in order to activate their body's thermoregulatory system properly, and the ability to successfully give birth to multiple children is a sign of genetic strength.
They are cold hardy, but a rise in temperature can cause their mind to become festering and hard to focus.
A change in habitat during early childhood can affect the development of the thermoregulatory system.
Some rouge artists enjoy this 'heat enlightment' and call it a mind drifting/inspriation erupt.
Many Chiss agents secretly like to go on missions to Hoth (or get assigned to Hoth) because that temprature(while other spicies: 🥶)
Certain minerals from the glaciers affect their skin color, and they require regular supplements of these special minerals (similar to human vitamins) to maintain normal physiology(skin color etc.) when away from Ascendency. Plus, There is a special supply chain within the Sith Empire for these Chiss agents and officiers.
Manners and Attitude towards Force
They will learn to control facial expressions and eye color as a form of parenting.
Their night vision can make them uncomfortable with certain wavelengths of light.
Their eyes may have transient membranes or some sort of reflective structure, which gives them a very specialized eye recognition system.
They adopt a hostile attitude toward Force-sensitives within their race, including exile and pharmaceutical (surgical?) control. Imagine an Imperial agent being tested for Force sensitivity and the result is positive, they might be injected with some inhibitor via a device such as a collar, or cover up surgical scars.
