“Well, when I teach a bunch of high schoolers for a living, I don’t really have much of a choice.” Scarlett let out a soft sigh as she rubbed at her eyes. Being up at eight to actually start work was already bad enough, but she had to be there even earlier to get the class ready and make sure she had everything for the day ready.

HALEY GAVE THE stranger a smile. “ not killing anyone is a very good thing. ” she took another sip ; something about this coffee was so delicious. “ do you get up this early for work? ” haley questioned , not wanting to be too invasive of his personal life.

Sipping his coffee, he nodded quickly as she agreed that not killing people would be good. “No. I work as a DJ, so early mornings are usually not something Im awake for.” Shay stated, not going into the fact that he hadnt gotten home until early in the morning last night. “My mom is coming to have dinner with me tonight so I need to clean my apartment and buy food.” 

“I take it mornings are not your forte?” Cat inquired, one in line behind him. A huge smile was on her face, not an uncommon sight. “Mornings are nice. If you wake up a just  the right time you can watch the first bright rays of sunlight push over the horizon, bathing the landscape in a soft golden hue…”

“Well seeing to as I get home around like 4 in the morning from my job, not really.” As she went on about the sunrise, Akshay couldnt hold back his yawn glad that his drink was finally given to him so he could try to hide it behind his cup. “That sounds beautiful and everything but Im not living my bed before 11 unless I have to.” 

HALEY SHRUGGED . “ no clue , early birds can be annoying. especially when you’re trying to sleep. ” she took a quick sip of her latte. “ but hey – coffee makes getting up this early more bearable. ”

“There is a man that lives beside me that always plays that goddamn Hall & Oats song at like 7:30 every morning.” Shay replied back he heard his name called and grabbed his own drink. “Not exactly bearable on like three hours of sleep but at least I dont want to kill anyone.”
