New Works up at @stairwaychurchmelb

This is a pop up art installation we put up at this year's Sounds of the Nations Prophetic Art Gathering. It features 8 Artists that brought together artworks to release a prophetic welcome and declaration. The inspiration of this installation of a Gateway: A gate is the very first entry point into the courts of a particular royal residence. Those who enters have citizens’ rights. What this pop-up art installation is about creating this prophetic gateway, to cry out to God’s kingdom residents (IS13:2). As they enter, they enter into worship and with thanksgiving. Let this gateway be the spiritual welcome, a prophetic declaration to the children of God, calling out their destinies. This morning at the @stairwaychurchmelb #healingrooms Title: Waterfall Meaning: there's a comfort released to the mind. The strength of the waterfall comes from both the physical and spiritual realm embraces the wounded mind to release freedom and comfort.

This morning, @johnchiong was the guest speaker at #station8church and together with @dlumache who painted this piece. Title: The Mirror Interpretation: I see God is building this church upon His reflection of what the heavenly kingdom is like. He is building this church upon His own reflection, His character, His love and identity. You are a mirror of what kingdom is like, every individual in this church brings in a facade of how God will bring in His kingdom within the community. He will use this church community to brings in love, healing and freedom into unreached places. God will use you greatly in amazing ways in the days to come.  ---------- We want to release into this church to start taking courage, something that you have the liberty to do take up, and once taken, you open up a space to see God's plan unfold, his will be done, his power displayed, his love extended. You will be that creative resource/reflection to tear down anything and usher in kingdom into hearts, communities and nations.

Written by @johnchiong I started Akrylic in hoping to draw a collective together back in 2012. A collective of artists who can celebrate the worship and the visual arts together. We have made and enjoyed a variety of friendships however, the collective is possibly not the most ideal platform. The weakness I find is there are several clarity that would that a longer time to reconcile between artists besides our personal relationships. That's cool with me though. So what's ahead? Well, for @dlumache and I, it seems like we are looking forward to broaden this platform to explore other avenues of creativity and some of this through creating creative gatherings in the future, some introductory classes and also other platforms that will not involve "Akrylic" but under another theme #deefatfarm" where it involves farming and cooking.
