raising a "king"

His back arched against the chair pressing his fingers together, trying to prevent a sigh escaping his lips. “Trust me. I’ve been working on gaining more money, the thing is…” 

Kiran paused.

“Are you really sure this okay? I mean, with the realms and all. Aren’t technically tappering with the overall space-time continuum and history by trying do fundraisers in different realms, in Askr and such? I mean, I’m not expert on this but…” 

 “No, its not. Its just that the heroes are taking more space then there is. Thats all, I just underestimated your luck... after all the heroes weren’t in such constant need when... never mind.”

 He pulls out  quill. 

 “Ideas perhaps? I have heard of Anna suggestions of selling half naked photoes of the more attractive heroes.”

“It’s a real problem back in my world.” 

The summoner sighed, shaking his head with mild disgust before focusing on the King. “You sure you wanna know?” He asked, genuinely curious with an edge of seriousness. “About student debts and everything else from my world?” 

There was hesitance for one millisecond. 

  “ …Of course. ” Though Nifl’s now crown prince expected this, that doesn’t change the gloom that tints his eyes. Still, he continues. “ I can’t offer you troops, and I intend to head back to Nifl myself after I’m done my scouting mission— whether Nifl finds me to be a true king or not. ”

He pauses there, ruminating briefly on that before he comes out with his suggestion.

“ I’ve heard from Commander Anna that Breidablik’s summoning is based upon consent of the heroes it calls forth. First, I offer any version of myself to your ranks even if I myself cannot be here always.

“ Second, Nifl’s royal family has a gift of premonition and communication with the Summoner, so I have found out. If that could be of use, we intend to use it.

“ Third is as I said earlier: if you have use of anything from Nifl, do not hesitate to say it.  ”

He wants a army, he wants Hel sealed away again. He wants that princess of Hel to be sealed away too, away from his children. But as long as she pretends to be a prisoner of war...it won’t matter much would it?

 “You...  Should speak to the army of heroes, if that is all you can offer. “ his words were not unkind, just factual and truthful. If this is the extent this prince...no king could do, then both time have been wasted. 

That  reaction  wasn’t  expected  (but  accepted  with  relief  all  the  same).

It’s ... complicated. But I’m not human if that’s what you’re asking me.

A  pause,  ❛  An  afterlife  thing  …  ?  ❜

Do you mean ... did I die like this? Then no, I’m not dead either.

 “I see. So your a species of yourself.” 

That ... at least was much better then normal rumours of being normal spirits whose heads were cut off...he can’t tell if this is worse. 

A fellow royal, well perhaps he thinks she has the aura of one. But there is tea, and there is crumpets. Its all that could be done when in times of war, but his body aches and his sickness is getting more intense to move out as soon as he wanted it to be. 

  Well… at least he knows now. A small sigh left the dance, mild guilt in having to tell him such a thing but… he knew it was needed. At least there wasn’t really anyone around to hear that, and he wasn’t going to tell other on that either. He didn’t want people spreading rumors on him that were… not good to say the least.

     ❝ No, I suppose there’s many that wouldn’t know on it like that… I can say I’ve learned on it more recently in the time I became a dancer, but knowing on this now  should do well on expanding your knowledge to say the least. ❞

  Pausing to think for a moment he looked back. At least he now knew it wasn’t meant in such a manner.

     ❝ How many people are there in the Order of Heroes? ❞

How many were in the order of heroes? he wonders. Perhaps he should do a recount because sometimes the same person would come again and again. It was quiet tiring to find the funds to secret away and feed all those people. if the army becomes even bigger, then it would be a problem for funding. He had only hope his trust in Anna was perfect. 

 “A few hundred at this point I assume , but you would only need to perform for a few, or perhaps all. You.. .are say a secret I have yet to reveal to the heroes.’ that sounded naughty for some reason. 

  How was he to go about this..? Blunt might be the best option perhaps. Closing his eyes, he knew this would come out awkward no matter what. But it was for the best he was told on this.

     ❝ They were but it can be understandable to not understand at the same time. But “entertain” can also mean other things as well, from being used in combat or in this case it can be taken in a rather…. how should I put this…? It can be taken in an inappropriate manner.  Almost saying like for me to do a possible sexual favor for whoever it is you want me to “entertain”…. Cause there are some dancers that I’ve learned on that do such a thing and there were offers I turned down before because it was exactly that. ❞

  Yep, he feels awkward explaining this to someone clearly older than him.

He puts a finger to his chin, deep in thought and avoiding looking like he had made a blunder of the ages. Well at least it was not with royal company or he would never heard the end of it.  

 “I... see.”

 He did not. 

  Order of heroes? Now that was rather unexpected. So he was with such a group. But even then the wording was a bit rather… off sounding. Was it because it’s not something usually asked? Moving to having his head rest in the palm of his hand he looked to the taller male, head canting to the side.

     ❝ You know the way you word it sounds a bit off, but I’m sure you mean it in the way I preform for the people as it is right? If I know how many are there and maybe if there’s a good place to have them all gathered I can get a better estimate on it. ❞

    He could probably compare it to an asked performance for a village or something….

His face frowns, trying to think of how it sounded off, his wording was formal and regal and he gave specifics didn’t he? He didn’t really see the mistake there.
