Kamiyama High School Festival… Lots of people are celebrating with their friends… Altho Mizuki is alone qq (orignally was with their classmate/friend An but got a bit awkward when An’s shy and very close girlfriend showed up, decided to let them be… and ran off)
At such a time, Mizuki thinks of their unit members, how they might react to things like a haunted house;
“For this sorta thing, Ena definitely seems the type to get scared ~! Mafuyu probably wouldn’t…-”
“As for Kanade… hmm, I wonder…? Be surprised but I feel she’d wish to see it anyway …”
“Just kidding-! Geez, why am I thinking of them?”
“The members of Niigo gathering at my school’s festival, how would it be I wonder…”
Not long after, Mizuki runs into Ena’s younger brother Akito and his friend Tooya… For a while they hang out together, happy enough to do so- seeing sights including Tsukasa’s … play. Tooya is awestruck(?) by it, wishing to tell Tsukasa straight away how much he loved the play (which no one else understood)…
-Altho Tsukasa is nowhere to be found, Mizuki offers to go look for him but instead of finding Tsukasa, Mizuki finds a “ghost from (their) past”(?); their old friend from middle school Rui!
Mizuki and Rui were both friendless outcasts in middle school, both with not great reputations and a lot of loneliness -something which Rui says he doesn’t hate. They used to meet on the rooftop, hanging out together (friends!)… naturally, it’s another rooftop where they meet again in high school…-!
Both have friends now, it’s highlighted but for a moment, Mizuki questions whether they have friends too…
“Ahaha, what the heck… I don’t have-”
“To call them [friends] … is a little difficult-”
“But… I might’ve met some people like that…” - says Mizuki with THAT SOFT FACE!! TT
