Queen of Years

"I didn’t say anythin’ about aliens."

"You didn't need to. You're obviously an alien."

"I know that I’m going to try my best not to let anything bad happen." 

"You won't be able to stop it, though."

      [ Kit nodded, pulling out a piece of paper and       a pencil. She scribbled a very short message       out and carefully placed it by the object. ]

"Okay. Come one, we should run now."

"There’s this… man… I’m travellin’ with.  His curiosity’s rubbin’ off on me."

"I can't let you in just because you're curious. Aliens aren't allowed to see it."

     The child had been a surprise, but still, River gave a reassuring smile, regardless that she wasn’t exactly in the most familiar of places either. But she wasn’t going to tell her that. ”Well that’s easy. Where do you want to go?”

It was strange that the lady had to ask where she wanted to go. Shouldn't that be obvious? There was only one place where the Queen of Years would need to be at this time of year, "The Palace."

"Well, what did you find it, then?"

"A bit weird."

"No, it's not. That's the Doctor's box."

                                    “I know, I just refused to answer it because it was stupid” he                            rebuffed before walking closer to the little girl. As soon as h                            e was mere inches away from her nose, he stopped and si                            ghed deeply. “Marks on one’s forehead, market for aliens, I’                            m not on Tiaanamat am I?”

"How was it stupid?" Merry decided then and there that she didn't like this man very much. She wouldn't be surprised if she found out that he'd stolen the TARDIS or something, "How can you not know where you are? Of course you're on Tiaanamat."

"I have no idea where the palace is"

"Oh... me neither... I wandered off..."

"Then lemme through.  You can say something if I come out with my hands full.”

"If you're not a thief then why'd you want to go in there so much?"

   ”———this is about the time when you laugh.”
