Welcome, Hope’s Peak Students! We hope you look forward to your second year within our esteemed academy! Soon, you and your class will be expected to begin brainstorming your Hope Project– the culmination of all your efforts and learning within our school. While this project will not be due until your final year with us, we always recommend getting an early start.

We know that this time of year is always difficult for our trusted students and staff. With an unfortunate anniversary quickly approaching, we at HPA want you to know that we care. That is why we are offering to take you on a staff-run, all-expense-paid vacation prior to the start of our new school year.

Korishi Sector represents a state-of-the-art, high-security, luxury experience for all to enjoy. For your safety, all students will be heavily screened prior to admittance into this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and trained staff will be onsite to ensure the safety of all who attend.

So join us, and spend a week exploring all that Hope’s Peak Academy has to offer! We assure you, this will be an unforgettable experience.

It is the 3rd installment in the Akedo City Despair series, taking place 25 years after the previous game, Jokiku District. You are a 2nd-year student in the now infamous Hope’s Peak Academy, and the school is sending you on a brief vacation prior to the start of your new school year, where you will soon begin the planning process for your final Hope Project. For years, the reputation of the once prestigious school was in tatters, as were the lives of those affected by the tragedy. After all this time, Hope’s Peak has once again established itself as a beacon of hope to all. Students continue to put forth their greatest efforts to strengthen mankind, and the Hope Projects resume their original purpose of improving society as a whole.

Now, as the 94th class of Hope’s Peak enters its first year, the wheels of despair once again begin to turn…
