Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16

The shorter and more compact variant of the M1A, this SOCOM 16 has a custom wood stock and handguard made by LAW483 Enterprises. The owner/seller replaced the factory compensator and front sight, which are wider and designed for quick target acquisition at close ranges. Overall configuration is a bit odd; the stock has more of a target or bench rest style appearance, but using it in a shorter barreled M1A with a small red dot seems to counter the idea of a long range rifle. Regardless of its purpose its still a beautiful looking rifle. (GRH)
