In 1985, the Ford Motor Company began sales of the very first Ford Taurus vehicle, which with its round edges, flush headlights, and covered grille was a striking look at the time. Even nearly 35 years later, the design still looks and feels contemporary. Name a car that has had a greater impact on auto design — I'm not sure if there is.

What will become of the site that the Thompson Center currently stands on? It’s impossible to say as of yet, but with Governor Pritzker pushing the sale of the coveted state-owned Loop location, it’s looking more and more likely that the postmodern marvel may only have a short time left. Here’s a quick look at what we lose when we lose the Thompson Center.

I just spent a few days in South Carolina visiting my family and hanging out in Charleston. The city is particularly beautiful during the golden hour.
