the transmasc/ftm ed hc makes no sense because it completely goes against canon, headcanons have to at least be believable within canon but he is one of the most hyper-masculine characters in the whole series, even when he was a kid, nothing about him gives trans or fem at any point in the series. the only male characters more hyper-masculine than ed is armstrong and sig 💀

ed's "proposal" was so cringy, if someone proposed to me like that i would be so mad. everyone eats it up like it was so cute & romantic but bro couldn't even utter the words marriage. he could barely even get the words out without tying it back to his alchemy hyperfixation, like it was so embarrassing. thats why its so funny when people make him out to be a super confident dominant super slave and charismatic kinda guy when it comes to romance and that kinda thing because he couldn’t even meet his crush’s eyes without having to recite the periodic table when she was fixing his automail. anyways this proves that ed should not be the one who is proposing ever cuz bro gets way too embarrassed about that stuff and can't initiate anything. he blushes and stutters and gets embarrassed so easily. winry should've done the proposal instead if they weren't cowards 💔
