Dean wrapped his arm around Sarah as the song wrapped up, the screams of the crowd deafening to his ears. The fact that Riley seemed to be so modest, almost a little shyness but also a hint of being care free made Jessica proud, always wanting to have raised him that way. Hayden cheered along with them, sneakily taking off her bra to chuck it up at Riley on the stage, hoping he'd either be flattered or recognise it.

For a song that Spencer was involved in, Amy had felt like this was one of the more confronting ones in terms of language. Blush flushed her cheeks at the words coming out of Riley's mouth, quickly glancing at Spencer in almost an effort to ground herself. A grin spread over David's face however when he heard the lyrics, causing Patricia to roll her eyes slightly. They weren't prudes by any means, and thought the lack of being there when they were younger made it easier to hear more mature songs. Sarah on the other hand blushed and looked down a little, always still seeing Riley as her baby grandkid.

The fans seemed to be just as surprised but still enjoyed themselves which was the main objective. Hayden's jaw dropped again slightly when she saw Riley on the keys, originally not knowing if he was to be working with the computer either. She was surprised knowing he could play, something she'd never seen him do before. Had he learnt just for the song? Or was it something he'd known for a while? Hayden had all these questions and wanted the answers right away. His voice when he sang captivated the audience, almost more than Spencer's did. Their grandparents couldn't wipe the smile off their faces, and Amy found her eyes resting on the boy more than anything too.

Jessica knew her son was talented but had no idea of the depth of it all. Patrick pulled her closer and leaned down slightly to her ear. "Did you know he could do that?" The whisper was almost drowned out by the screams of the crowd, but Jessica managed to catch some of it. She shook her head and cuddled closer into him, Hayden wishing more than anything she could have that then as she listened to the rest of the song also. Her eyes never left Riley as he moved across the stage, parts of his lyrics sticking with her and making a mental note to bring it up later -- if she even had the capacity to speak afterwards too.

Amy's and Hayden's cheeks reddened as they felt the fans eyes on them. Although Hayden hadn't seen much of Riley's antics while they were together, Amy had seen how Spencer was when she was younger -- and heard stories too. It didn't bother her as much as it used to, even if she did prefer the songs that were about her. When she listened to the lyrics more closely, the uncomfortable feeling went away and was replaced with pride more than anything. What did shock the room though, causing it to be silent for a good couple of seconds, was Riley's voice. Jessica's jaw dropped, as did his grandparents. Patrick was speechless and both Hayden and Amy were entranced, both expecting more coming from Spencer but happily taking what they got from Riley too.

Jessica's hand moved down to grab Patrick's as Rey spoke. Out of all of her kids, Jessica was definitely closest to Riley, so hearing her son speak about moments she was absent for made it all a little bit more harder to hear. Most of what she was feeling was pride though, as she looked around at his friends and family who were all equally surprised to hear about Riley's endeavours. The mention of Cody brought a roar through the crowd, which made Dylan grin and kiss her boyfriends cheek. She'd known the two to be creative, but knew without Riley's help things probably wouldn't be how they were for him today. Ever since the first time she'd met him, Dylan knew the boy was special -- a talent for many things, something she knew not everyone could say. Amy was generally surprised that her girlfriend needed any help at all, she'd always held her on a pedestal and never doubted her natural gift for music -- she'd seen it many times over the years, so was skeptical as to what Riley could really bring into the mix. When they both settled into their seats, the crowd went silent again, the few odd cheers here and there waiting for the next song.

Most of the time both Amy and Hayden didn't think to question what their other halves were up to. They knew that the pair were close, and although Riley up on stage with Spencer was a shock -- the notion of him having more to do with producing the music and even writing it too was more shocking. The crowd seemed to be as surprised as their family, the cheering happening again as Riley crossed the stage. Hayden blushed as he got closer, chewing her lip slightly as she didn't know what direction they were heading in. What had they actually gotten up to? And how much was Riley involved in it all? Hayden had a handful of questions and was almost impatient to wait to ask them. If she were able she'd ask them right now, but figured it'd be better to wait and see.

When the song finished, the crowd quieted down and seemed to pay attention to what was being said. Jessica chewed her lip as Spencer spoke, swallowing as she started to mention her brother. It was evident to her then just how close the pair were. That was all she'd ever wanted for her first two kids, particularly since Spencer was the oldest. The crowd cheered at the mention of Riley too, which brought a small smile to her face. She was curious of the boys involvement with it all, but was sure that Spencer would clear it up eventually.

Both Jessica and Patrick had yet to learn just how hard Spencer had worked to get to where she was. They both had questions they wanted to ask, due to both being absent in that crucial part of her life. Parts of them felt extreme guilt, trying to chuckle along with the crowd when she made her revelations, but the stinging feeling never quite went away. Amy herself was surprised too, still learning parts of her girlfriends past -- despite probably having been on the receiving end of the radio broadcast.

Amy grinned slightly as the crowd made a unified sound of disappointment. Judging on how weird kids songs were, she didn't know how intense the solo ones would be. She didn't know how much the rest of the family had heard in terms of it, but the thought made her curious enough to pay attention to each and every lyric. When she started singing, the crowd tried to sing along, as did her friends and family in the crowd.

Jessica blushed slightly when she caught her daughters smile, cuddling up to Patrick who rolled his eyes at her comment. Sometimes it was almost uncanny to him how much Spencer reminded him of his younger days, when Patrick just started out performing. He was sure others would see that too, the thought giving him goosebumps. As they prepared for the next song, the crowd erupted again and a number of phones went up into the air, David's included. He didn't want to miss a moment, but he also wanted the opportunity to document things so he'd never forget them. A habit he'd gotten into since he'd arrived in America.

Luckily enough no one in Spencer's immediate family seemed to be old fashioned. Sure there were things they didn't always understand, but they never made a big fuss out of it. When Spencer brought up girls, David couldn't help but grin and chuckle, wrapping his arm around his wife and pulling her closer. The crowd erupted too with her question, Jessica blushing as she glanced around to see everyone enjoying themselves. She managed to catch Spencer's eye and gave her a small reassuring smile. Jessica was more than proud of her first born, the feeling almost a little overwhelming. She hoped Spencer could see that, because Jessica wasn't always gifted when it came to words.

The moment that the guitar filled the room, David raised his eyebrows. Something he'd always admired was someone who knew their way around a musical instrument. Granted, he'd known that Spencer had musical talent as she was in Weird Kids. Anything beyond that was news to him. He didn't know how well she'd carry herself when it was just her on a stage, or the complex equipment she'd be using. Though he couldn't get a proper view of it with the lighting, he made a note to look properly when he got the chance, out of curiosity and wanting to bond with her.

Amy knew there was a time where Spencer would've been more anxious to share the honest songs with her, but when she caught her girlfriends gaze on the stage she couldn't help but smile, giving her a small nod of her approval -- even though she knew she didn't need it, nor ask for it. Her grandparents on the other hand, ones who still had questions to ask, were curious and welcoming of everything and anything -- even if the song's were angry, sad or anything in between. Jessica chewed her lip slightly, knowing she'd missed out on a lot of her daughters young life. She joined in though with the flood of applause, looking forward to the next song and story of Spencer's life.

As the first song ended, the crowd erupted into a sea of cheering. Amy couldn’t help the grin that was spreading over her face, the brunette joining in on the cheering even though her throat already felt red and raw. She could hardly stop the proud from showing on her face, something Jessica noticed as she glanced at the smaller girl. The older woman felt her own eyes tearing up slightly, wiping them as she cheered along with the crowd also. She caught a glimpse of her other daughter behind the drums and sent her a small grin, although she was sure that with everything going on the girl would struggle to see it.

Hayden grinned when she saw Riley drumming, a sight for her which never got old. All her earlier worries of the girl being exhausted seemed to melt away, particularly when she saw how happy the brunette looked too. The crowd continue her to sing along, only stopping here and there when Spencer's voice got to the softer parts. When it started to pick up again, and the lights shined down on the crowd, the sea of people began to scream again and Jessica grinned, wrapping her arm tighter around Patrick. She glanced at the rest of the family and Spencer's friends, thankful that they were all here to support her daughter as well.
