i want to talk about how aciel dies. before her final moments, she always went by the “it won’t happen to me.” mindset, because it had always happened to other people-- she thought that she would just be able to get away with sheer luck every time. she’s stupid like that. but it had always worked out for her--- even during the downfall in volume three, she managed to get away with a few wounds--- nothing serious. throughout her life, she always managed to survive, somehow. she had all of these ambitions, dreams, plans, and goals. she set them all up for herself, knowing that if she continued down her path, nothing would possibly get in her way. again, she’s stupid like that. no more than one misstep leads to violent finality for her, and it catches her off guard. she doesn’t know how to respond, what decisions to make, who to look to for help, nothing. and knowing that she’s going to die unexpectedly terrifies her. she fears death, but only if it’s not planned or expected. even the feeling of death slowly consuming her. it takes over, it’s all she thinks about, it’s all she feels, it’s all she knows. while she’s dying, she’ll comment on it. she’ll say what she’s feeling. “i’m cold.” “why is it so dark outside?” “it hurts.” “i’m scared.” “i don’t want to die.” anyway thank you for reading, idk what i just wrote
