I thrift a lot & i like to think that i have a pretty good eye

but when it comes to old pottery ill admit that 9 out of 10 times im totally wrong

i spotted this gorgeous pair from across the goodwill, had to square off with two other treasure hunters who saw them too

because today was the best day ever 😍

found this old guy today at one of the more *FRUITFUL* goodwill stores (yep im hilarious) that i frequent.

$4.99 for realz.

titled “branch of grapefruit” by artist “O.F. Amsden” as indicated by the gallery tag. a quick internet search yielded nothing so ill have to dive deeper when i have some time.

it is absolutely beat to shit. and while the frame is literally falling apart, it is all original.

long ago i found a lovely dressmakers’ mannequin circa 1900 at an estate sale... i think i bought it for $25 dollars.

found this stunning 150-year-old piece of paper today. just the most fabulous, hand-colored fashion plate ive ever found

which someone id like to kill not only wrote on in pen, but also hot-glued to a cheap frame. i fume even as i type this

nearly brought down a shelf at goodwill when i spotted this foxy lady way up high

by otto mueller. old original wood & velvet frame. gallery tag on the back titles it as “staying nude”

once upon a time i found this cheeky little number in its original box. happiness oui oui

SIDEBAR can i just take a sec to talk about laura ingalls’ husband tho

not only was almanzo wilder the finest piece of ass in the entire midwest, the continental united states & possibly the world during victorian times as evidenced here

but even better:

in late 1880, when he was just 23– during the most vicious winter ever recorded in US history— he fearlessly risked his life on the open prairies of dakota territory amidst sub-degree temperatures & raging winter storms on a batshit insane hail-mary mission that had zero probability of success, unbelievably beating the odds... first by locating a food source only to top that by outmaneuvering a blizzard & escaping certain death by a matter of mere minutes

ultimately saving laura ingalls, her whole family, and her entire town from death by starvation during the last leg of a never-ending blizzard that lasted for 7 uninterrupted months
