His greeting was warm and inviting – and it just made her wish that she didn’t have something so gloomy on her mind. But, of course, with things going so well in their lives lately – it only made sense for something like this to come up and stir up some dramatics. Hopefully though, it wouldn’t … even though she kind of already knew that it would. Leati rubbed his hands over her warm thighs and her body wanted to respond. She nearly turned herself around on the kitchen counter and held the news back for later this evening – just to get some more of his physical attentions and affections. This whole waiting until their wedding night business was for the birds! His lips were warm and inviting, but before she could get herself another taste, her fiancé picked up on her mood and the tension in her body. When he asked her what was wrong, Nicole felt the papers in her hand being softly pulled away, glancing down to watch as he took them from her and set them on the counter top beside her – focusing his dark eyes on her expression … and she knew there was no point in trying to lie to put off the news until later tonight or tomorrow. “I just … got off the phone with one of the wedding planners. She was skimming the RSVP’s and putting together the seating arrangements .. when she came across a note.” the brunette stated, not wanting to draw this out any further or try to make him guess. This was no time for games and as much as this news might upset him, he needed to know. “Basically, Galina isn’t allowing the kids to come to the wedding at all unless she is invited and comes with them.”

At the mere mention of the wedding planners calling, Joe already knew he was in for some news that he didn’t want to hear. Any time Nicole brought up the planners it was accompanied with bad news. His hands dropped from her thighs and he braced himself for whatever it was. In his mind it was probably something as simple as the flowers weren’t going to be right on the day of the actual ceremony or maybe one of their family members weren’t going to be able to make it because it was out of the country. What she did drop on him wasn’t anything like he had been expecting. It was the very last thing that would even start to cross his mind. Galina had been nothing but vindictive but he didn’t think she would stoop as low as to keep the kids from coming to the wedding when they were in the actual wedding. A muscle in his jaw twitched as he clenched his teeth together. His fists clenched a little at his side as he let out a slow breath. “I’m gonna handle it. Don’t even worry about it.” He wasn’t supposed to have any direct contact with Galina and they were only supposed to talk through their lawyers, but they had agreed that the kids would be allowed to be in the wedding and now she was going back on that just to fuck with him.

After five months of having all the time in the world to do things, it was a little harder for Joe to find a groove and balance things out than it thought it would be. Even being back part time just for Raw was taking it’s toll. Plus the ongoing custody battle and planning the wedding really wasn’t giving him or Nicole much time for anything else. He wanted to help more with the wedding but truthfully the details of it all didn’t so much matter to him. He was just happy that he was marrying someone that he very much considered to be the best woman he had ever known. That was all that mattered to him. He didn’t care if the flowers were the right shade of red or if the caterer screwed up a few things so long as she can walking down that aisle towards him. The workout was hell but in the way that he liked and could handle and there was a smile on his face as he talked to his mother in the phone, walking through the garage door that led into the kitchen. Seeing Nicole sitting on the kitchen counter made the smile on his face grow even larger. “Hey ma, I just got home so lemme call you later.....yeah I’ll make sure to tell her......mhmm love you too......I’m hanging up now..” He knew if he didn’t hang up that he would end up on the phone for another hour as his mother started to talk about what she wanted to do to the garden. Walking over, he placed a kiss on the top of Nicole’s head and then her lips. “Hey baby. I’m always hungry but lemme take a shower first and then we can eat. Sound good?” His hands ran up and down her thighs. Despite him being so adamant that they would wait until after the wedding, he couldn’t help himself. The longer he looked at her face, the more he could see that something was wrong. He pulled the papers from her hands to gain her full attention. “What’s wrong?”

I’m a very sleepy person today but I get to go home and see my new baby boy!
