         ”Funny, I am not your brother.” He didn’t move from where he was. “And even if I were after your girls, no one can stop me from doing it.”

"Men are all the same, they become predators to a pretty face be it male or female. " She interjected, "If my girls are foolish enough to get caught up with the likes of you or any man then I will punish them for they will be of no use to me anymore. I do not keep weak spirits. Only the strong survive in my company."

Artemis eyed the young demigod carefully and crossed her arms. "I can tell you with certainty that there are no males here. Not one within my grounds, who ever told you that a man would be here is a liar. "

"–I’m watching you, Artemis. You know what I’m talking about." 

"Pervert----"

        “I don’t know what you’ve heard but the whole world is my hunting ground.” The Primordial smiled at her, remembering just now how much she is disgusted by anything that has to do with sex.

She scoffed, "Funny, like I haven't heard that one before from my brother when he went after my girls." Artemis wasn't disgusted, just startled. Though as much as she wanted to pretend sex alarmed her.

"Candy? I’ve got one hell of an appetite for lollipops." He grinned then cleared his throat. "Stop advertising my liking for sweets, it’s not masculine." Apollo sighed and drank his mead, grimacing at the strong taste. "She hasn’t seen me in a while, I think she will be fine with one more day. I don’t even have anything to give her. Maybe I will throw in a flower, or something." 

"Oh, it's not masculine. Now tell me brother what exactly is that suppose to mean?" Artemis might have found a slight where one had not been intended, "I'm not gonna lie to her if you're not coming today. But I won't say anything either, I'll just tell her to ask you why you were late when I saw you today." She felt assertive for some reason and sighed, " She misses you a lot, Apollo. Just say hi. I don't like to see her counting days until you come. It bothers me."

      ❝ And me who thought that mortals          were the most annoying. I am probably          going to regret ever asking this, but why          do you resent my sex as much as you do? ❞

"Because men are born with a weakness that women do not inherit and I do not have need for such failing creatures." She replied her eyes locked on his as she spoke. "Pan gave me these hunting grounds, so I have every right to them. Maybe more than you do."

      ❝ Then how am I supposed to do my job then, Artemis?         You can’t just claim places as your own - and especially         not the woodlands; those are a serial killer’s favorite, not         to mention the haunted ones. Death reaches everywhere. ❞

'Can't just claim, huh? Well, tough luck, I did. Go do your job. I cleared this place of any living male. As for serial killers, if they get past my defense then they won't be serial killer anymore. My girls are vicious, but they do not take kindly to perverts. Hope you're just here for work and not to be a class A-asshole."

              “I’m working on it.” Apollo looked back down at what he was doing, it wasn’t that he wasn’t interested but the longer he didn’t visit the longer he didn’t need to get any sort of apology gift. 

"Do you know how sad that is? She's all where's my little boy and I have to tell her out eating candy." She wanted him to feel guilty, but just enough so she might get some of that candy too. "What'd you bring with you?"

      ❝ Wow, that’s racist. And what can possibly be any           sharper than my scythe, if I may ask? ❞

"Masculinity is not a race, it's a birth defect. All beings are innately created female then boom- become male because of a chromosome at the wrong time; " She scoffed, "A vagina, that's what. These woods are mine, men are not allowed in them."

"I thought you were a burglar!"

"And what, you were going to take me out with a paddle?"
