Tonka, 7, lives in Billabong Sanctuary in North Queensland, Australia, and has had a rough life. He was orphaned as a baby when his mother was hit by car. Then in 2011, a portion of the sanctuary where he lives was damaged by a cyclone. During that time Tonka lost 20 percent of his body fat and was diagnosed with clinical depression. But now, the wombat has found some comfort, in the form of his snuggly teddy bear.

“Many orphaned animals take comfort in cuddling teddies and Tonka just never grew out of it,” Samantha Sherman, who helps care for the Tonka, said in a statement. “He’s really just a big baby at heart.”

This may not happen, and that’s okay too. But it’s something to watch out for when your initial reaction is numbness.

This shit is so true. A while back a lot of cr@p happened to me all at once. The doctors thought I had a brain disease, my (ex)boyfriends mother died unexpectedly, 2 days before the funeral I found out said boyfriend had been cheating on me for 3 years and I then broke up with him a few weeks later. All of this happened towards the end of my first year of uni. Legit the morning after I found out I had passed first year I had a panic attack that lasted 3 days and my mind & body fell apart. All along I thought I was just frickin super woman not being phased by it all but really my mind was like biiiitch pls wait ima fall apart as soon as u finish for summer holiday, then u can cry & fuxk everything up without messing up uni.

Realize that, as a company, Niantic is absolutely inundated with things to do. It may take awhile for some issues to be resolved. Right now, we have to assume priority #1 is getting the game rolled out to all the rest of the regions. Just because things like pokestops and gyms - while important things to moderate, to be sure - aren’t getting attention right at this very second doesn’t mean that Niantic and Nintendo aren’t dedicated to ridding the game of awful people.
