one of my bosses (who’s living in the only house on campus & who’s also kind of my friend) is so incredibly kind & we’ve talked about cats together before and today she adopted two kittens & needed someone to watch them as she checked in on a camper so she texted me and asked if i could :’) so i got to sit & play with them for a while alone and then when my boss came back we chatted for a bit & she got this photo of both of them on my lap :’) today was hard but this was an amazing night

#it’s silly but them liking me immediately makes me feel a bit better about myself #she said i was a cat whisperer & i can come visit them whenever :3 #she also said that she (and other people) want to vote for me for the staff award which is. whoa. crazy to think about #i’m trying not to get my hopes up but it would be so rewarding if that were to happen #the only thing is i don’t know if enough people like me enough to vote for me but idk 🤷 we’ll see #pitter patter
