Age Of Sail & Ships

Jack runs a coffeeshop, and James is an irregular regular who comes in every day at random times, and gets weirdly strong drinks, and he looks half dead and everyone is worried about him when they don’t see him for 2-3 days. He’s probably sick, maybe just decided to sleep for longer than 3 hours, nothing big, and when he got back he got tackled by Jack at the door.

Jack Is a bartender/owner, James is a sad/soft boi, and they like flirting with each other. One night, someone hits James (on purpose or not, I’m thinking Beckett...) when Jack goes to get more rum, and the entire bar/pub (*Jack’s friends who see those two are in love*) pounces on the guy. 

Jack is a drinker, (and so is James, but for other reasons). James almost dies of alcohol poisoning, Jack almost breaks his leg from dancing off a table, and they meet in the hospital (or they met at the same bar/pub). Jack has a little mental freekout when he sees James unconscious and hooked up to tubes and monitors, and thinks ‘What if that’s me one day?’. 

James and Elizabeth get divorced (not a bashing fic, they just fell out of love. it happens. and for context). Jack and his gang find him passed out and bleeding in the alleyway behind the bar, and Jack stays with them until the ambulance comes to pick up James. 

Jack secretly gets his number, and texts him later in the week. James is doing better, so they hang out. . . as soft caring friends. 

That’s it? the only problem? ma’boy James, I think you have other things to worry about. . . (do you think he likes lofi?) but dang. . . who asked out who? what do you think they are majoring/studying in? Oh! the possibilities are endless!

James kills Becket, and when the others ask what happened to him, James says “He was killed in an act of piracy, horribly dreadful thing really. . . “ and Barbossa tries to back him up “Yes, a true pirate that one. . . He who shot ‘em dead, I wonder who he was?. . . “ 

James is imprisoned (almost hanged) for being a gay man, and Jack is like “Well we can’t have that now can we?” and breaks him out of prison. 

James wears a face scarf, and everyone thinks he’s mysterious and sexy. . . In truth, he has pollen and monkey dandruff allergies. 

James Norrington owns/runs a pub, and Jack Sparrow and his crew are the town drunks who always show up when he wants to close for the night. 

Jack is also a tattooer, and the Black Pearl is his tattoo shop.
