He hated doctors, scientists as well. “All of that poking and prodding and shit…someone’s gonna die,” he growled, paying no mind that he was thinking aloud and finding it to be a rather important bit of information for the man to know. “Good,” he then responded. “I would hate to have to prove just how much of a ‘possible threat’ I am just because one of your little crackpot researchers decided to get a bit too touchy…” He then glared up at the man, eyes burning far greater than the tip of his cigarette and just as bright. “Am I understood?”

Hearing Fallax speak, it was hard to imagine why anyone thought it would be a good idea to perform any sort of tests on him that he wouldn't approve of. After all, what were the lives of a couple of lowly scientists to an aggravated demon? "One hundred percent," Soren confirmed, trying to ignore the look in the demon's eyes. It was not a pleasant one, and it was almost enough to make his skin crawl. Almost. "Any other messages you'd like for me to relay to the Director?"

Everett shoved his hands into his pockets as they walked, pressing his arms close against his sides in an attempt to fight back against the chill in the air. He listened as Andersen spoke, watching the other man out of the corner of his eye. “It almost just sounds like the kid up and ran away. At least, it would if there weren’t so damn many of ‘em missin’… Could always be a group of kids decided to run away, but they’re so young. Plus, they didn’t all leave at once.”

Boudreaux had a point. Aside from the fact that the missing children were barely old enough to tie their own shoes and they had disappeared at various times, it could have easily been labeled a runaway. "Which, unfortunately, means that whatever we're dealing with is most likely a bit nastier than children unhappy with their home environment..." Why did it have to be children? Adults missing would be easier to handle, but children meant dealing with parents - upset, emotional parents.
