TSUKASA’S REASON FOR JOINING BLUE WAS FOR RINDOU!
I REPEAT. For Rindou’s sake! Ah my shipper heart leapt from my chest all the way to the blue corn moon. Yes, I’m still alive and kicking thanks for asking ( debatably now that my forever OTP is absolutely KILLING me again with so much feels). So much to comment on in this latest episode of Shokugeki no Soma! ehehee

I’m glad the anime made an effort to give reason as to why Rindou wasn’t in the competition. Of course she’s out there doing what Rindou does best; she is out there researching rare ingredients, traveling, and slaying (poachers)!
You can’t get anymore epic in this screen shot. I mean you have barbarian Rindou with a tiger, an alligator, helicopter, full armored tanks, and explosions in the background! Like whattttt?! I need this framed somewhere in my house. She is the hero that wildlife conversation needs. Given her specialty in rare ingredients, it’s very fitting that she’d use her resources to protect all wildlife and their ecosystems from ruin. (Soma’s “Huh?” face when they said they were linked to the Noirs had me laughing)
Rindou has always played such a big part of Eishi’s life, so it’s really nice to see how he wants to support Rindou’s fight against Poachers in the best way he can. In a way, he’s fighting through the competition together with Rindou in his heart. Like a pair of swallows, they won’t be separated. JUST ADMIT YOU LOVE HER GDAMMIT.
You’re right Soma; Eishi has changed for the better. Eishi was never about the fame and prestige, as we learned from the previous season how it nearly destroyed his passion. He is someone who enjoys the thrill that comes with improving your craft and reaching greater heights. He was also someone who was criticized for closing himself off and self centered. From his exchange with Soma we see that Eishi treats him with great respect, heck, I say they’re great friends now. We see an even warmer side to Eishi that we hadn’t seen in the previous arcs.
Look! Eishi bought Soma with all the singles he got! HOW FREAKING CUTE.
Eishi has learned to open up and become more considerate for others. The cherry on top to his development is his motivation to win BLUE to lessen Rindou’s burden of taking down the Noirs. He no longer walks the path alone. He wants to win the competition, not just for himself, but for a person he deeply cares about. This boy finally sees the light!
