*sigh*....Okay...this will be my one statement about the election and then do not expect anything further about it in the future from me. We are told from the moment that we reach the age to vote that we are to "trust the process". Trust. A concept earned through actions of earnest intentions, built on a foundation of commonality and unity. Simplistic, yet hard to attain and even harder to maintain. Last night, in the eyes of some, trust was lost to the process. Many see the election of Donald Trump as the "be all end all" for social change and, in rare extremes, the political arena as we know it. I DO NOT feel the same way. If anything, his leadership will start a like minded national convocational conversation. One voice, louder then what the incumbent administration as already been able to muster from the American populace, telling the incoming regime that we are, can, and will be better than what we chose to represent us. We shouldn't hide from it, nor should we let it bury our hope to be truly united one day. To live screaming is better than silently dying. Make the most of what's to come. Live earnest, live mindfully, informed, but most importantly, live with an intention to better not only yourself but, your fellow countryman/woman. We already exist in volatile times, the worst thing we can do, on either side of the aisle is "shake the bottle" further. Be the love you want to see in the world presently and beyond. Trust. It CAN be attended again.
