For over 7 years, this platform has been dedicated to language learning, beginning with a focus on French, and gradually included other most sought after foreign languages through the years.
Over time, that journey led to a deeper realisation: that language is not only a tool for communication, but also a critical part of every continent's identity, culture, and heritage.
Across Africa, many indigenous languages remain underrepresented in formal learning systems and lack accessible, structured educational resources. And tell you what, dear fanmily and followers, this is a thoroughly wide developmental gap, not just a linguistic one!
Today, we are proud to formally introduce AFRIGLOTS — a registered education and development foundation committed to advancing African languages and enterprise-driven natives through literacy, resource development, sponsorship and community-focused initiatives.
@afriglots will focus on:
• Developing and sponsoring accessible culturally relevant language learning materials
• Supporting bilingual and multilingual indigenous literacy, and vocational education
• Preserving and promoting African cultural identity through language
• Partnering with schools, educators, communities, and institutions.
This transition reflects a deliberate shift from a single focus on foreign languages to a broader, impact-driven mission aligned with education and cultural development.
We remain eternally grateful to everyone who has been part of this over 7 years journey with us so far. 🙏🏾
You are welcome to tag along as we move forward with a renewed purpose to contribute meaningfully to the future of African languages from this fast approaching 8th year of our existence to infinity onwards.
One tree can not make a forest. So, yes, we look forward to building this next phase with you.
Welcome to Afriglots! 🥂
