A single word can make you 😁. Growing up i remember spending lots of time with my maternal grandma. She was nice with a 🔪 and a piece of salmon. Often times we'd make a fish stew with seaweed and onions and served with a side of butter 🧈 on a pilot bread cracker. In #Tlingit we call that "útlxi" . My grandma wanted to make sure my mom knew what we cooked so she told me to leave a message on the answering machine and made sure to urge me to use the word "útlxi". I tell you what. My mom was proud. Not only because she-said-so, but I swear she never deleted that message off the answering machine 😂. As a parent I get it now. Using your #Indigenous language speaks to your soul. A single indigenous word spoken from a loved one really makes me smile😊.🤎🖤 https://www.instagram.com/p/CL2eYc7nv8W/?igshid=x3nboup8sf32
