He’s different. Dissimilar, unalike, unlike. Names that seem to suit the uniformed stripling that stood in front of her living quarters.

His disheveled mien captured her attention, quirking her brow slightly. He hasn’t even changed out of his pizza delivery uniform, which bothered her just a bit. She also found it quite unhygienic on her end. The car door swinging open as she climbs into the passenger seat. Miyeong’s gaze fixated on the side mirror, her little silvery words escaping her lips in a chiding tone. “You should’ve changed out of your uniform at least.” Earning a witty remark from the male himself in response.

Between them, they’re acquaintances. Hawaiian pizza that he held in front of her doorway, various sunglasses propped on the bridge of his nose every time he dropped by with her order, and those ear buds that remained snug in his ears. Everything about him was riveting, inquisitiveness creeping in to get the better of the female. Small talk shared between the pair, acquaintanceship building up to its fullest potential. When he offered to drive her around town, she couldn’t repudiate such proffer. Painstaking training that happens on a daily basis along with piles of assignments that have to get proofread and turned in by twelve midnight? It’s time to stop and smell the roses for a change.

“Do you trust me?”

“If I didn’t trust you, I wouldn’t even be in this car with you.”

The petite female broke into a fit of laughter, her dainty hand reaching over to secure her frame with the car’s seatbelt. “Then hold on tight. You’re in for a ride.“ Shifting gears, he places his foot on the gas before zooming off on to the road expeditiously.

From exchanging muffled hello’s at the mailroom to standing beside each other in some stuffy elevator with other residents living in their building. Small talk luxuriated into exchanging numbers, which was practical for her just incase her neighbor decides to be blusterous with his music. Whipping out her phone into her hands, she shoots him a quick text.
