Happy Balloons Around the World Day~!

There's kind of a funny story behind this piece.

I got inspired by kid-lit artists I followed on Twitter a few years back, and I made that the aesthetic for a reworked version of an old thing I made back in high school (below).

I also vividly remember that the original version was one of the first times I ever tried rendering folds on clothing.

It's kinda wild that two artworks with different aesthetics mark very important points in my art journey.

I made a sort of character study using my old art of my OC Kazuki for Throwback Thursday!

Tried using the same coloring and inking style as I did for each year, and even mimicked the way I draw Kazuki's hair and default outfit.
