Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them

[Hey. I didn't expect to get an ask on this blog again (or that anyone still remembers me at all) and I've been debating whether I should answer it or just message you, but I figure leaving without a word wasn't really the fairest way to go about this, so. Here's some closure, maybe.

Two years ago was a really bad time for me. I didn't have the energy to be active in this blig for months, I wrote one reply that was such dogshit I deleted it immediately. At the same time, it was a really bad time for me to be in this community. Literally every time I tried to do anything, thete was some kind of fight going on. People I thought were okay turned out to be shitty to people I cared about, there was stuff that had been going on for years, and I was just tired of it. Of trying to force myself to come back just to be teminded why I it was pointless.

I wish I had better news. I found some truly amazing people here (that includes you!) and I'm sorry I left you all hanging, but there was no way I could stay any longer without losing what little love I had left for this.

Florie is still very important to me, and I wish I could've ended things on a better note with her. I'll keep this blog for the many great memories, and if some of her old friends remember her from time to time, like you did, that means the world to me.

Oleana snorts aloud before she can stop herself. 

(Seriously?! WHAT!!)

“… … … I had assumed you put that on him.” She sighs and crosses her arms, hastily summoning back up a veneer of seriousness. “Regardless, you had better to go and get him. Before he decides to menace someone else.”

It’s then that she looks back toward the Maractus and finds him still powering through his dance with no audience.

“My, but he is… a perseverant sort, isn’t he?”

Why. Why did she make the worst possible impression on this very elegant looking lady. This was not how she wanted her first trip to another region on her own to start.

“He’s... enthusiastic, that’s for sure. Not the brightest, unfortunately.”

Yeah, she should probably go and pick him up before he turns half the town against her.

‘Uh, sure,’ Raihan replied, glancing around. She had a point, although sometimes it was difficult to find a place where he didn’t get stared at. That was the cost of being very well-known, very tall and very recognisable. It usually didn’t bother him, but it did make talking to people one-on-one hard at times.

‘Follow me. I’ll take you to the tapestries,’ he added, starting off in that direction. He presumed that’s what she wanted to see, anyway.

Florie only had a vague idea of where that was, but as long as it was out of sight (and hopefully out of mind) of the public, it was good enough.Perhaps it wasn’t a great idea to come unprepared, but the weather in the Wild Area wasn’t on her side today and it was a last minute change of plans.

The tapestries, she assumed, were the main attraction since the room was rather empty otherwise. She wasn’t too familiar with the history of Galar and couldn’t think of anything substantial enough to ask about it, so she decided to try making her cluelessness a little more subtle. Or at least engage in what people tended to call small talk.
