Lux laughs “oh baby it’s okay if you never heard of Watts before. And don’t feel bad about it either. It don’t makes you out of touch or whatever.” Lux says waving off the thought “as long as your socially conscious about what’s going on, you’re fine”

“Yeah, I watch the news at times.” She smiles lightly bouncing the child in her arms to sooth him. 

“Honestly it is. Granted I’m from Watts and I can say I’m so here for the growth. You know, just because you’re from the hood doesn’t mean you don’t deserve nice things” Once the cashier calls her name Lux grabs her things and lets the assistant gets Cheri’s just in case they want to do a taste test. “My old friends, well I can’t call them friends anymore because they never were my friends. But anywho, they got mad at me because I wanted to elevate in life and not be stuck in watts. I have bigger dreams and goals. I won’t forget where I came from but look at me now. One going on two boutiques and I finally live in a nice neighborhood in Sherman Oaks”

Cheri does her classic smile not really sure where the place actually is. “That’s honestly so cool! And i love that you reached your dreams, i know that feeling is amazing.” She says as the assistant does a taste test and whatever else she needs to do before she gives the drink to Cheri.

Before Cheri could shake her hand the assistant lightly slaps her hand away. “I’m Cheri nice to meet you.” She says with a smile. “Is this a new location?”

Lux presses her full lips together “I’m getting real tired of you” she said looking at the assistant “I believe it is. They’re always adding new things into the neighborhood. Which is good because the area used to be one of the roughest but now it’s filled with a lot of dope black owned businesses. Minus this place”

“Oh...That’s honestly great! It’s took to see area like this coming into existence. More stuff like this is definitely needed.” The assistant ignores her and watches over the preparation of everything being made. “Not too sweet.” She sternly says

Before Cheri could shake her hand the assistant lightly slaps her hand away. “I’m Cheri nice to meet you.” She says with a smile. “Is this a new location?”

“Lady you need to chill. I’m not even making her drink the people behind the counter is. If you want to ensure she’s not being poisoned by THEM you’re always welcomed to ask to go to the back” she says with a smile before turning to the cashier “can I have one berry good smoothie and one Amazon tropical smoothie, two of your fruit salad bowls and add granola on the side of one please” she says giving her card to the cashier. “Also her assistant would like to come to the back to ensure nothing but the freshest fruits and ingredients are being placed in this lovely lady’s order”

“I would rather you prepare every item in front of him.” She says taking a mental note of the cashier’s name. She also makes a mental note to report back to Mr. Zayas about today’s interactions. 

“Ma’am I am not trying to kidnap her child. I have one of my own at school. I don’t need another” she says chuckling. “Is this person always like this ?” She asked going up to the counter. “What would you like, my treat” she asked with a smile as she placed her own order.

“My Husband suggested her...so yes.” Cheri says. “Um, anything that doesn’t have that much sugar.” She says honestly. The assistant keeps ignoring the woman and looks at Cheri, “You shouldn’t accept random drinks from strangers.” 

Lux glanced down at their Apple Watch to check the notification that had just came in. As she stepped up in line she overheard the banter between the woman and the person who seemed to be a friend or an assistant. Peering over her shoulder she gave the woman holding the child a smile. “Let the new mama enjoy a smoothie and a day out of the house. Postpartum depression is really love” she says shaking her head “you do you mama. How old is the angel ?” She asked using her index finger to provide the child’s foot with a light stroke.

The assistant steps in front of them and blocks the child knowing if her boss found out, she’d get chewed out and fired. “I-” Cheri smiles neverously and peaks her head to the left, “He’s fine...just sleepy that’s all.” She says. “Okay. Mrs. Zayas.” They say ignoring the rest of her last name as she makes her step back.

Cheri walks into the store with blacked out sunglasses on and a baseball cap over her head with baby in her arms. Since having her child Cheri’s life as completely changed, the once working woman was placed on an unwanted leave of absence and was forced to cut in half how many hours she worked. “Are you sure you need this? I’m your assistant and I don’t think a smoothie stop was appropriate reason to leave the estate.” The assistant states, “I wanted to get out the house, let me please enjoy this high sugared beverage in peace.” Cheri mumbles as she gets in line behind Lux. 

“Okay for you it’s called a skinny bbl.”

“One word..BBL.” Trinidad laughs. 

“Okay, let me show my good side my face been looking boxy.” She says as she gets herself ready to pose. “But that is a cute name, I like it.”

“Oh please Pookie. You came out the womb a bad bitch” Soleil chuckled with a smile. Once Trinidad was ready Soleil took a few pictures and showed them to her to get her approval

“That one and this one look really good. And thank you I tryyyyy.” She says with a laugh.

“You don’t have to try. What Arianna say ? I woke up like thissssss” she sings before laughing. Soleil airdrops the picture to Trinidad.

“Girl, I heard she eats three carrots a day.” Trinidad jokes and laughs. “Thank youuuu.”
