The Hollywood’s concept of beauty, however, is the prevalent concept of beauty at present.

Conditioned and influenced by the Hollywood’s concept of beauty, many people nowadays ache to have flawless skin, perfect figure, and awesome face. For this reason, the aesthetic or cosmetic industry is having its heyday because of the increasing number of people who want to change their body figure, skin texture, and remove any deficiency in their appearance. At present, aesthetic clinics are sprouting like baby mushrooms in the major cities of the world. In fact, the cosmetic industries including those of the aesthetic laser companies and manufacturers of aesthetic products are now raking billions of dollars in profits from the droves of people who frequent the popular aesthetic clinics around the world. These increasing profits derivable from aesthetic business attest to the fact that the mental conditioning of most people around the world are largely based on what the mass media are infusing into their minds. The human body is so configured in such a way that each part of the human body has its own essential purpose for the human existence. You may disagree with this idea, and give examples of body parts that can be removed without any adverse effect to your existence. Gone were the days when beautiful plump bodies were considered the epitome of beauty as in the case of the renaissance paradigm of beauty. Nowadays, to be considered beautiful by the majority of people, you got to have a sexy body and a flawless and unblemished skin. This new paradigm of beauty has engendered a feverish demand for cosmetic and aesthetic clinics. Moreover, aesthetic laser companies are having their heyday because they now have plenty of clients to cater to. An aesthetic laser company, for example, could produce expensive wart-removing laser equipment, while another company may manufacture skin resurfacing laser.

He said that apparent beauty is not real beauty but only skin-deep beauty. This concept of beauty may be a bit repulsive to you for you may be inured to the modern-day concept of relative beauty. But my professor concept may also be true.
