i wish i wasn’t so reluctant with feelings;

because you see,

i lost my chance to say something

before you disappeared into thin air

with someone else

your life is like a rollercoaster

full of ups and downs,

but i want to be there with you for the ride

no matter how high or how low it goes

the strings

of her ukulele

strum against her heart

that once was broken

and the sweet melodies

kept it from breaking even more.

until she found the person

that would pick the pieces back up

and put them back together

the right way

with the idea in mind

that her heart wouldn’t be broken again

in the hands of them.

be careful

to not let me go

for i will not come back again

once you lose my trust

that once was strong

the ones who are in the past want it to be the future.

the ones who are in the future want it to be the past again.

the young wants to be old.

and the old wants to be the young again.

and that’s the irony of life

because we sometimes forget that we have the present in front of us

and yearn for something else instead.

my mind if full of as many thoughts as one can hold

but yet, the thought of you prevails all of them

i’m a delicate flower

who needs her gardener

to take care of her precious petals

and to let her grow.

to be admired and loved

through storms and sunshine

in which that gardener takes care of her

until mother nature comes again.

doesn’t mean you can’t pick yourself back up.

failing at a task

doesn’t mean you’ll fail the next one.

having a bad day today

doesn’t mean you’ll have a bad one tomorrow.

not being happy right now

doesn’t mean you won’t be happy forever.

problems that come up today

doesn’t mean they can’t be solved eventually.

procrastinating on something

doesn’t mean you can’t do it the next day.

not being perfect at something

doesn’t mean you can’t perfect it ever.

broken bonds with people

can be resolved if you take time to fix it.

life takes time. remember things can be solved.

i look in front of me

to see you turned around

and caught my eye

for you to only look away

in a millisecond.

but honestly,

i wouldn’t mind if you caught my eye

for longer than a glance.

raindrops hit against

the rose petals

as the girl steps out into her backyard

running into the field of grasses

halting to a stop, she looks up.

she notices the sunset

of everlasting red, orange, and pink hues

and stays there until it slowly disappears

to reveal the stars glimmering in her eyes

in hopes of her dreams coming true.

i wish that you would notice me

but i’m a hopeless romantic

that can’t catch your eye

in the world full of others

who did

friendship is like glass,

delicate fragments held together

and watching it crash down

against the pavement of life

is one of the hardest things to experience

because no glue can’t hold it together once it’s broken.

it feels like

i’m gravitating towards you

but not close enough

to only be let go again .

sometimes i can’t help but to glance over

to see those hazel eyes from across the room

and sometimes you look into my blue ones too.

if only cupid’s bow

would work this time

and do his magic

i hope that one day

we can grow a garden of flowers together

like how i grow flowers in my mind,

beautiful ones,

when i’m around you.
