Here's something for you guys from the Demon King AU, it was originally made for a competition, but I'm pretty proud of it so I wanted to share it.

I really loved her character! A lot of times we don't get child characters accompanying a protagonist and when we do, it's usually done wrong. Lin is a pretty good example of how to write a child/teen character that interacts with the other main characters.

I got bored waiting for my assignment to be graded so I sketched a lil' gelada reader.

Believe it or not, it was The Mayor at first. But not for the reason you think it is.

You see, I love Transformers, I love anything mecha/roboty, and Transformers Prime is a show I've loved for years now. The thing is, the voice actor for Starscream is the same voice actor as The Mayor. I thought it was so funny and cursed I had to see it for myself. (I can't un-hear Starscream when The Mayor talks)

I only decided to watch Lego Monkie Kid out of curiosity even though I thought about not watching it when it first came out (don't judge please, I thought LMK was going to be some hyper-active kid's show, boy was I wrong-)

ANYWAYS, The Mayor was quickly replaced with Monkey King as my new favorite character once I gave the show a chance (though it took a whole season for me to like him). I guess it's because I like how silly they wrote him, but they also gave him very big flaws with communication, something I can relate to. Most of the other characters are a bit too hyper for me though. Macaque would be a second favorite because the show decided to break some revenge tropes and actually make him a likable antagonist with some depth, unlike what a lot of shows do.

Mei I didn't like at first, but after a few episodes she really reminded me of my friend who I haven't seen in years now. Sure, we still talk over the phone, but it's not the same. I'm not a hyper person, but my friend is the only one to bring the hyper and silliness out of me. Mei acts just like her and it's kind of nice to see.

MK is another character I ended up liking as well because the show once again, avoided tropes. He's a really good character as a protagonist and the show works out his flaws so well.

As for a favorite episode? I'm not really sure, I'll have to rewatch everything again.

Wow, I spent all day on my graphics tablet today.

On a bright note, I'm rendering in a way I like now and my screen is all fixed. I decided to make a quick tutorial on using Krita filters to help enhance your images with blurs and color corrections. I know some people dislike Krita, but I like how clean it is and it's similar to Photoshop.

Some key notes: Keep any blur in THE BACK. Anything that's in the front should not be blurred such as the face, clothes(in the center), and bangs.

Decided to sketch some more OCS(Not mine) on one big page with past ones and use one OC to practice coloring on as well.

Obviously some are not finished, I'm just doing things at my own pace.

so I found out what was wrong with my graphics tablet, the driver I had was outdated and I needed to change the gamma with Nvidia. But now it's the opposite of the problem I had before where the laptop screen shows it as super saturated and the graphics tablet is lacking in colors. I'll come back to edit this post after tweaking the colors a bit.

I realized I do not render things enough so Netflix Monkey King is going to be my test subject for coloring and shading.

To answer a quick question I get a lot, yes, I am still drawing OCs, I just do things at my own pace. These are for practicing, they're not commissions.

Anyways-

I found out why some of my art has been off when I finally finish up on something. Turns out, my graphics tablet makes everything look VERY saturated. I took the longest time messing around with the colors to get both of these to look right.

I decided to draw Aslan twice. Once while paying attention to the color on the hair, and once without paying attention.

I was more strict in my movements for the lineart and actually double checked the colors on my graphics tablet and laptop screen

More relaxed lineart (I kind of like it), but I did not pay attention to the color difference on the hair.

Whatever shows up on my laptop screen (the actual color) will have to be very very bright in color on my graphics tablet because of how saturated it makes things appear. I don't know if anyone else has this issue, but if you do, try to check on multiple screens before coloring anything. I use an XP Pen, I don't know the number/model, but I'll see if this saturation issue can be fixed.

On a brighter note, I do like #2 because of how colorful it came out, it kind of makes Aslan look like she has a natural blush across her face.
