as a child she and her single mother lived in various motels around the state

her mother was a weed and gambling addict

because of that rachel learned how to take care of herself on her own at a really young age

when she was a teenager her mom managed to buy a trailer, so they both moved to a local trailer park

rachel would quickly gain a group of friends, with which she would terrorize other kids and generally cause troubles in the area

that would grant her an insulting nickname "princess dakota", which she proudly accepted

at her 17th birthday rachel received an used 1990 chevy silverado from her mother, who thought rachel was already 19

she loved that car so much, always driving her friends around

eventually rachel's mother would start losing so much money that it was getting hard to buy food. at that time rachel realised how horrible her mother actually is

before rachel's 20th birthday she and her best friend judy decided to rob a nearby gas station as the last resort to get some money

they managed to secure a lot of money, but while fleeing the scene judy got fatally shot by the gas station owner, forcing rachel to escape alone

she spent her birthday driving to another state to flee the police and start a new life
