This is a little experiment I did to see if I could use some of my less toxic handmade mineral pigments with water. To paint this, I simply mixed the pigments with tap water, let it dry, and sealed each layer with hairspray. 8/23/2017

All five drawings were done in one five-hour sitting. A drawing was started and completed in one hour or less. Each drawing is labeled with the start time in the upper left-hand corner. All drawings were done with a glass quill and loose ink.

January 14, 2015. 3:45am Typically, I post my artwork as higher quality images and with just the basic stats of the piece: title, dimensions, materials, etc. But this is different. A very dear friend of ours passed away unexpectedly in his sleep a week after his 24th birthday. We are still in shock about the whole situation. We went to the wake earlier. The funeral is at 11am. This painting is for the funeral. We were going to make something very different but the three of us are so exhausted and heartbroken we can like barely function. So I painted this with acrylic paints on a piece of posterboard while sitting on our hotel floor. I finished it about an hour ago. I don't even know what to do. This is the saddest thing I've experienced in quite some time. He was a wonderful, loving person who would make everyone laugh no matter how awful he felt. We all loved him and he loved us. I just wish he could have seen how perfect his soul really is and how no amount of self destruction could ever change that.
