I have more or so seen Kujou Sara's and Raiden Shogun's (Not Ei) as a-- sort of mother and daughter relationship. A girl devoting herself to a woman she has thought to save her from death by bestowing an Electro vision upon her, a form of recognition towards her, and therefore, she must show her gratitude through loyalty and utter devotion she will never ease. And a woman who... doesn't recognize her. This is a useful tool standing in front of her, devoting itself to her to the point of willing to be a sacrifice, never seeing a doubt and never uttering it. But this is also girl craving genuine validation and love from somebody, as it is not something she has been given in her entire life. Unfortunately, a puppet like Shogun cannot give her anything. Only orders Sara is meant to follow.
