#cant do anything right

“ staring is rude, don’t you know? “ erik called out without even lifting his gaze from the pages of his book. 

“Sorry, I was just building up the courage to ask where the charms classroom was? Someone said it was on this floor, but I feel as though I’ve been mislead...”

Don’t worry, I’m back to make sure my mates don’t burn the school down or anything.

“Is that something I should be genuinely worried about?”

Adrien beamed brightly and struck his hand out before him. “It’s wonderful to meet you Peter. So what house are you in? Gryffindor?”

“Oh, okay.” He responded, before the silence fell between the two. “I’m Adrien, by the way. I’m new here.” He added on, unnecessarily.

Adrien gave a shrug, but no words to defend himself rose to his mind. He waited another moment, before edging slightly away from the man before him. “Right, right..” He responded; only because he felt as though he should say something. “Y’know, it’s not like I asked for this. Plus, i’m just as much of a citizen in the Wizarding world as you are... I just don’t have the required talents.” He finished, his voice low and his words nearly mumbled.

First, he heard the panicky voice. As was typical with Lucius, the cry didn’t trigger much of a response until he saw the trademark green tie, the flash of color that solidified a bond between the blond and anyone who wore it. Like the model prefect that Lucius so often took time to pride himself on being, he confidently strode towards the other Slytherin, taking note of how his frame seemed to be that of someone older, not a first year. “ — I can help you! ” he assured the other confidently, grasping the Slytherin’s shoulder & spinning him around to get a good look at him. “You’re rather lucky that you’re face-to-face with the captain of the po —  ,” he began, before stopping mid-sentence, the face before him belonging to a family that his own knew quite well. “ — oh, MERLIN,” he breathed out, trying to keep a contained face, but there was no hiding that look of shock.

The voice; bold and in control, nearly snapped Adrien out of his panicky state. He turned, without really pausing to consider the surrounding students, in hopes of finding the source for said voice. His knees nearly gave out in relief, as he caught sight of the blond whom was speaking. ‘I can help you’ registered in his mind before anything else did, and with that, he moved towards the boy in a near daze. It was in this full relief, that Adiren didn’t even notice what had happened after he spoke. Not until  he had already left the aura of desperation in his trail. “Malfoy.” Adrien blurted out, without any hesitation. “Oh thank goodness.” He continued on, his excitement towards seeing a semi-familiar face. “I’ve been lost for quiet some time now; this castle is rather large, innit?” He inquired, his smile growing brighter, even as the look of utter shock on Lucius’ face was staring at him directly. “Can you help me?”

“I was just um--- Well I just thought i’d--” Adrien broke off,  before shifting in place. “I actually wasn’t doing anything. I was just looking around. I’m still not used to the castle.”

“You say that word as though its an insult?” He commented, although it end up coming out more like a question, rather then what he intended. “Whatever though--- I don’t even know you, so why should I care if you leave.” He replied, with a forceful casual shrug as his eyes remained looking away from the boy beside him.

❝ Potter and his friends seem to be where all the ‘fun’ is lately. We could ask them but – only if you attend with me. ❞

“I have no idea who ‘Potter’ is, but if you lead the way, then I guess i’ll follow.”

❝ Oh, c’mon. You’ve got to know if something is going on.. ❞

“I’m really sorry---- I don’t.” He replied with a laugh. “Do you know which students tend to have the most parties? Maybe we could ask them?”

“I don’t.... understand what you’re doing.”

“.... but I---- I thought it was mandatory?”

Most couples make me want to jump off a cliff. If you’re going to have a make-out session, do it somewhere private, not the middle of the corridor.

“People are already snogging? Merlin, I can’t even find the loo, let alone find a dark corridor to snog someone in.”

“Don’t look at me--- I haven’t even  been here for more then a few hours, I don’t know anything.”

“ not to sound like a know-it-all, but if you won’t add an eye of newt i am certain your cauldron will blow up. ”

“What’s eye of Newt?” He asked, his eyes scanning the table before them in a near panic now.
