t i m e for a new adventure;Â
Adrian and Jason opened the shop in Beacon Hills, their plan to have a place for their army to come, train, and even plot what they would do. As the months went on things in Beacon Hills calmed down a bit so their missions were placed out of the town. It seemed weird to Adrian while he sat with his feet up on the counter leaning back in the chair that this was life now. Much easier than he'd ever had, he'd glanced over the book he wasn't reading, around the shop. Guns were placed across the walls, now they even had other items. Knives, swords, and some - other items were in the back. Down stairs they had an area for teaching self-defence, which crossed as their training room.Â
It wasn't until Helen and them graduated. He sat next to Jason at the ceremony watching that little blonde girl graduate. The reason they came to Beacon Hills, the reason they did all of this. He thought back to when they didn't like each other. How all he wanted was to just take the box from her, regardless what it did to anyone else. "Man, I was an ass to you at the start." He say with a smirk when she'd finally come and say hello to Jason and him. He'd give her a hug and tell her that she had a whole new adventure waiting for her. He give her another hug and tell her to stop by the house so he could give her a gift.Â
He'd wait in the car for Jason to finish talking to Daphne and they'd head home. He'd look at the box he'd wrapped, the paper all badly wrapped and he'd smile sadly. He'd give it to her and say "good look out there Little Bird." Before watching her run off to John's car, and Jason and Adrian would stand at the door and wave as they drove off.Â
He'd make a drink or two, and sit by the fire in his 'reading' chair. Jason would sit next to him and drink also. Neither would speak for a long while. Adrian would think about all the things they'd done, the loss they had. He'd think about the people they've met, and he'd smile softly. He'd finish his drink, and he'd think about Helen going onto her next adventure. He'd think of Ashlyn heading off, he'd think of John, he though of all of them. Yet - Helen was the reason they came. In some ways, because of her and the connections they made, that was the reason they didn't leave. He'd stand and make another drink, as what kind of pizza Jason would want and order it. Over dinner Adrian would glance over at Jason. "Should we go?" He'd ask not really knowing what Jason would say. He'd wait until Jason would say something. His eyes down on the pizza he was eating. Jason would respond and within the week they'd be packing.Â
Adrian would make sure the house wasn't sold, he'd put a lot into it and he didn't want just anyone having it. So he'd give it to Ric and Allison, allow them to have a home - even if they didn't live in it. He liked it, it was home base for him. He'd offer the shop to them, if they didn't take it he'd sell it. Adrian would pack up the important things and threaten Ric that if he hears his house is burned down he will come after him. Before giving him a hug, and then he'd smile, telling Allison to be good. He'd tell her to tell Lydia that she'll find a good guy, and to take care of herself. He'd tell Callie that if Zeus didn't notice her, to come find him and they'll make a huge ass show that would get all the Gods begging for her to be their hero. He'd tell them to take care and he'd drive off with Jason.Â
They'd drive past the Beacon Hills sign and he smile lightly, they were back on the road. He'd slap Jason's hand when he tried to change the music. He'd stop at the gas station and claim that he was craving a burger just to get Jason out of the car. He'd hit on the waitress and Jason would tip her well to apology for Adrian. He'd give Adrian a hard time and the two would drive off into the sunset and live happily ever after.
Oh come on, we all know that's bullshit. Adrian and Jason would travel across the world again - seeing places they hadn't and keeping the people safe - without the Gods help.Â
