hiii, i love your writing <3
I was wondering if I could request a Gerran Howell x Fem!Reader fic? The premise is that they are co-stars on the set of The Pitt, and because of production rules requiring the cast to stay close to set, they are actually roommates in real life. On the show, their characters play a couple, and in real life, they both have massive crushes on each other but haven’t acted on it because they each think the other doesn't feel the same way. The entire cast sees right through them and constantly teases them about it, so when everyone finds out their characters have a highly anticipated, incredibly spicy scene together, the cast gets super excited because they know this will finally force them to fall in love for real. Leading up to the shoot, they are both absolute nervous wrecks because of the real-life tension between them—especially after the director suggests that, since they live together, they should talk about the spicy scene at home to get comfortable, or even professionally practice and recreate the blocking to prep for the day of. I would love for this whole story to be as smutty and explicit as possible from start to finish—from the high-tension "practice" sessions at home, to the intense chemistry while filming on set, leading up to them finally returning to their shared apartment where the lingering adrenaline breaks them, they confess their feelings, and just completely go crazy for each other. Thank you so much!
Dennis Whitaker x fem!reader⭑.ᐟ
(wasn't sure about writing smut about a real person so I changed it to Dennis Whitaker. It's kinda meta, the character being the actor of the character but its ok.)
Summary: reader and Dennis are costars, then they fuck. Dennis is pathetic and whiny and horribly down bad for reader, mutual pining, safe penetrative sex, puppyboy!Dennis cus I'm a pervert.
im sorry this took so long IM A CHUD. I've had terrible writers block but i'm trying to lock in. I've missed writing my beautiful boy. really liked this request thank you :). not too smutty at first but I tried to really go for it when the time came hehe.
Being an actor was always your dream, and you had accepted the dedication it would take. You were prepared for long days and long nights, ready for all kinds of strange scenes, ready for any type of love life to be put on hold. So as time went on, and you had seemed to be pushed closer and closer to Dennis Whitaker, you tried to maintain a professional relationship, tried to maintain some self control. But eventually it just wasn’t possible.
You and Dennis immediately clicked when you met, not only did you have great on screen chemistry, but even when the cameras were long gone you two just worked. You had been told to live together during filming, matching with your character's storyline. If it was anyone else you’d have been hesitant, but you just knew living with Dennis would be enjoyable, not just another part of the job.
Originally, you and Dennis's characters were just gonna be friends, but after that first day of filming the writers and whole crew scratched it out, rewriting a romance side plot.
Robby had sat you two down, half in director mode half in costar mode, giving you the rundown of how he’s done a ‘few’ rewrites. Robby, trying not to say too much, only gave bits and pieces of what would play out between you. Maybe you would have caught on to his hinting if you weren’t so busy watching Dennis trying not to blush. It started slow, only small bits in that first season, tension and awkward flirting. Becoming roommates was in the original script, but with the rewrites it took on a new connotation. Dennis and you weren’t sure how far it was going to go, how much of this on screen relationship would really bloom with all the other drama going on. You came to find you and Dennis kind of just avoided the topic as much as possible. The topic honestly scared you, and you really enjoyed whatever you had with Dennis. You shared multiple scenes, and when the two of you weren’t filming you were on set together. It became routine to lay on a couch together and read, you would usually lay your head on his shoulder or lap, sometimes falling asleep waiting to be called back to film. Even after a long day of being a little too close for just friendly coworkers, you and Dennis would eat dinner together, oftentimes falling asleep watching a movie or show together. There were nights you couldn't fall asleep, and you just stared at whatever was on the tv and focused on the feeling of Dennis laying against you, focused on the soft sound of his breathing. You felt a little strange, basically watching him sleep, but it calmed you, and you wanted to stay in those moments for as long as possible. You had no idea Dennis did the same with you when it was you asleep laid against him.
When you finally got the script that detailed a long intimate scene together your mind went silent, unable to form a thought. Faint feelings washed over you as you reread the script, fixating on where it notes you two to kiss. You chew on your lip, staring at the words on the paper until it looked like scribbles, when your mind registers loud knocking on your trailer door.
You shove the stapled papers into your pants pocket and push open the door. Trinity stands looking annoyed.
“Come on man, time for our scene.” She waves you forward, your mind still a bit mushy.
“Huh.” You mumble lamely.
“...the big trauma scene? The overdose?” She states.
“Oh, yes I know. I’m coming.” You feel your face give an uncanny smile which makes trinity bite back a laugh.
The moment everyone else on set was made aware of where your story with Dennis was heading, it became a big deal. People had already taken to joking about how ‘close’ you two were, when Dennis wasn't around people asked if you were dating yet, and you knew they asked him the same when you were away. You both got used to it pretty quick, and once the first season aired the public speculation wasn’t a surprise. You couldn't help it, outside of filming you and Dennis were basically attached at the hip. Your closeness in interviews and public appearances didn’t help either. At a big awards show the two of you basically refused to leave each other's side, huge crowd and cameras staring into you and you needed the other's comfort. At some point you had snuck off to be alone, get away from all the noise.
“I don’t know if I said this, but you look really pretty tonight. That dress is really nice.”
“You’ve said that twice now Denny." Dennis blushes and looks at the ground. You loved how shy he got around you.
You both were leaned up against a wall outside, sounds of the city filling the awkward silence. In that moment you felt like all the nerves inside you (and two glasses of champagne) would give you enough courage to kiss him, but he must have been scared off, standing upright and suggesting to go back inside. Dennis always seemed to back off when you got too close, and you always suspected it was because he didn’t like you, not because he was just nervous, thinking he wasn’t good enough.
You make your way onto set with trinity, trying to look for Dennis without it being obvious. The next two days of filming the both of you would be doing separate things. You and trin had your trauma scene, Dennis had one with Robby and one with Ogilvie. But after, you and Dennis had to show up to a closed set, and act out the intimate scene. It was enough of a struggle trying to ignore your feelings for him, trying to stay professional, but you knew you couldn't just go with it like it was any other scene, with any other actor. If it was anyone else, it would be all logistics, the kissing wouldn’t be more than lips touching for the camera. It would take some serious will power to not freak out about everything.
Filming drags on a little later than usual. You got too in your head and everyone seemed to notice, having to do way too many retakes. Once you finally had wrapped things up, you just wanted to go home and sleep, but a director pulled you to the side.
You had a conversation about the upcoming sex scene with Dennis with a director, and he told you about how things would go, about the intimacy coordinator that would be on set that day, all of that. It all was getting more and more real, more and more stressful. The director then told you that it would really help if you and Dennis talked about it at home, together where you felt safe. Even act it out, work out each step, how you would touch each other, all that. By the end of the conversation, your whole head felt blazing hot. You had done intimate scenes before, and you’ve never been so nervous. On your way home you worried if the scene would ruin things with you and Dennis. Sure, you spent way too much time daydreaming about kissing him and being with him, but you were always too scared to do anything about it. The two of you seemed to rest in between friends, coworkers, and something more, and you could feel an upcoming change, which terrified you.
Dennis got out of shooting on time, and waited at your shared apartment for you to come home. He sat on the couch, staring at nothing, lost in his thoughts. He was just as nervous about the scene, nervous of how it may affect you two. Of course Dennis was equally if not more desperate for you, but was also convinced you were out of his league and he had no chance. His mind wandered into fantasies about the scene, which he told himself were just to figure out the logistics. But that faded into him just thinking about touching you, for real.
The sound of keys turning in the door startled Dennis out of his thoughts, he panicked and he threw a pillow on top of his lap, covering his pathetic hard-on.
You say hello, still a bit reserved from the day, trying to push out the dirty thoughts that pop into your mind when you see Dennis.
“Hey, there’s some leftover pizza if you haven’t had dinner yet.” Dennis says, head resting on top of the back of the couch.
“Im okay, I ate on the way home.”
You drop your bag to the floor and make your way to the couch, not yet noticing Dennis's timid nature. You fall backwards, letting out a deep sigh.
“Is everything okay?” He asks sweetly, sitting up at attention, locked into your eyes. It calms you, the whole scene. The poorly lit apartment, the quiet tv, Dennis leaning in and watching. He was always so tuned into your emotions, always putting you first and checking up.
You intend to simply save face, say it was just an extra long day, maybe even retreat to your room to sit in your thoughts even longer, just alone. But words seem to spill out,
“I’m alright it's just, today was stressful. I kept fucking up my lines, and when we finally wrapped up, which was late all because of me, a director pulled me aside to talk about, uh, our scene, which just felt kind of...” You finally manage to stop yourself, too late of course, you had dropped the bomb of the scene, forcing a conversation you didn't want to have.
“Hey, it’s alright, you don't need to stress. We all mess up our lines, I had the same problem today. And yesterday. Robby seemed pretty annoyed,” Dennis exhaled an awkward laugh. “and I also had to have that talk. Are you worried about doing the scene?”
“Yeah, a bit.” You mumble, giving into him and just being honest.
“Don’t worry, I am too. The director said we should talk it out, maybe uhm, practice? To get more comfortable before we have to be in front of the whole crew.” Dennis was clearly as nervous as you were, maybe even more. But he was also trying to lead the conversation to make you as at ease as he could, leaving the decision up to you. You say yes, biting the bullet.
You grab the script out of your bag and sit back down, reading out how the scene starts, the instructions on how you would walk into your apartment, look at each other, and start kissing. You both pause, unsure if you should proceed. Dennis takes the stack of papers from you and continues reading. Eventually you and him were supposed to walk into the bedroom set and fall onto the bed. You would get on top of him, take his shirt off and then your own, all while kissing. It would cut off at you grabbing at his waistband, untying his scrub pants. It wasn’t even that bad, no nudity, you wouldn't even have to act out the actual sex. But there was no part of you that could just kiss Dennis and move on.
“What part are you most nervous about?” Dennis asks, barely holding eye contact.
“Would it help to get the kiss out of the way?” Your ears burn and almost ring, head spinning. This was actually happening and you could no longer run from it.
“Alright, we can do that.” You can't move your eyes away from Dennis's chin, stuck in place. Dennis, so gently touches your face and leans in. It’s the smallest kiss, almost unbearably soft but it makes your heart pound even harder. You’ve dreamed about this moment, not exactly in this context, but kissing Dennis anyhow. He pulls away but still stays close, watching your face.
“It was good.” You blurt.
“Okay, so in the scene you'll end up on my lap, but they'll probably put something between us, is that fine?”
The dirty part of your mind wants to say no, you would prefer if there was nothing between you, but you just reply ‘thats okay’. You eye the pillow that's been on his lap since you came in, which you never thought too much into.
“Then you take both of our shirts off, but you'll get to keep um…Your bra. How about you tell me where it's ok for me to touch you? I won’t do anything you're uncomfortable with.” The heat between your legs gets impossible to ignore, Dennis's gentle voice running down your spine.
“I trust you, you can touch me however, it's just for the scene.”
“Alright, but at any moment if you want me to stop, tell me and I will.” In all honesty Dennis could touch you anyway, any how. As the minutes passed and your breaths connected, it was all you wanted, to feel Dennis running his hands all over your body.
“Should I maybe sit on your lap now? Just to figure out how that’ll go..” Words were getting increasingly harder, mouth craving his.
You sit up and carefully straddle Dennis, resting your hands on his shoulders. He exhales a shaky breath and leaves his hands at his sides.
He places his hands on your waist, the safest possible spot. His politeness was endearing, but you were begging in your mind for him to do something. Something real.
“Maybe we should practice the kiss again? Like, a real one.” He’s stiff, eyes your lips then back to your eyes, so you lean in.
After several minutes it became clear you were no longer practicing kissing, Dennis had pushed his tongue into your mouth desperately after you lightly teased your own. His hands finally started to roam, properly touching you, no longer playing it safe. You were unsurprised to find him letting out small whimpers as you kissed harder, and your body begged for more of him, wanting to learn what exactly would make him whine for you. You nibbled on his bottom lip earning a pitiful whimper. You grabbed hold of the side of his neck, thumb gently pressing into his throat and you bite a little harder, Dennis whining but not pushing you away, his hands gripping your hips harder. Sick of the limp pillow pressing against you, you lift your hips and toss it behind you. Before you can rest back down onto Dennis, easing into it, he pulls you down and ruts his hips up, sudden stimulation making you gasp.
“Jesus den,” You softly moan, Dennis smiling with dilated eyes.
“Mmsorry,” he mutters between deep breaths.
It doesn't take long for you to get sick of just kissing, both pairs of lips a bit swollen from biting and sucking. You sit up and lift your shirt off, Dennis watching with wide puppy eyes that dart back and forth from your eyes, chest, and lips. He’s seemingly in a daze, so you reach to the hem of his shirt and tug, prompting him to take it off. You’ve seen Dennis without a shirt, but before you would drag your eyes away, biting your tongue for staring. But now he was all yours.
Dennis pulls you back in to kiss, and eventually eases his hands over your bra, slowly at first. The shy part of him still poking through, and so you unhook your bra for him, pulling away to toss it behind you. His pupils blown almost fully out, and he was unbelievably hard beneath you.
“Youre so cute” you whisper, sitting up on your knees to undo your jeans, Dennis eagerly following after you, practically yanking his own pants off. His boxers are stretched thin and drenched in precum.
“I want you so much, like it's embarrassing, I don't know what's wrong with me.” Dennis whined, pawing at your thighs and chest, unable to get enough of your soft skin.
“Will you give me just one second?” Dennis nodded, looking like you had hypnotized him.
You walk to your bag that laid limp on the floor, shoving its contents around until you find a small makeup bag. You pull out a gold metallic condom and hurry back to Dennis.
“Thought we might want this,”
“Yes, yeah that's good.” Dennis was almost drooling, whole body pulsing, begging for you.
You sit in front of him, one leg pulling him closer.
“Open?” You say sweetly, holding the condom up in front of him. Of course Dennis obeys, at this point he would do anything you told him to, no second thought. You place the foil between his teeth and he gently bites down. He continues to stare at you, sitting on his legs like a dog waiting for a treat. You tug at the band of his boxers and snap them back into place. He hurriedly takes them off, painful looking erection poking up. You lean back on your hands and smirk at Dennis. It takes him a second, but he catches on and tugs off your underwear, much more gentle than his own, eyes fixated on your pussy.
You put your other leg on his side and inch lower, resting on the couch. Dennis is still, mind complete mush. You take the condom out of his mouth and open it. You grab him and his whole body shutters, loud whimpers escaping his mouth as you gently touch him, leading your hand up and down. Dennis seems to lose control of himself at this point, whining and panting, hands grabbing randomly at your body. You put the condom on him and pull him down, bodies parallel.
“Ready?” You ask him, which he just gives you a lopsided smile. He lines himself up, shuttering as soon as he touches you. He barely pushes forward, it’s almost excruciating how slow he's going, part of you wants to shove him into you, but you weren’t sure you could handle all that.
Dennis eventually finds a pace, one hand gripping your hip, faces buried into your neck. He whined into your ear, but once his thumb found your clit, you almost cried out. You reach a hand into his hair, gripping his curls, other arm wrapped around his shoulders, wanting to be as close as possible, as if him being inside of you wasn’t enough.
Dennis snaps his hips in and out, pace growing faster and more unsteady, thumb pressed firmly onto you. He groans and begs for you in your neck as he cums, basically crying as he continues to shove into you, waiting until you finish to be done. You're hit with a wave, biting into Dennis' shoulder to stop yourself from screaming out. Dennis trembles on top of you, gently taking himself out, the both of you panting heavily. You scoot yourself to the edge of the couch, giving Dennis space to fall next to you, eyes barely open. He leads a shaking hand to your stomach, tracing circles on top of your skin. You think to yourself, ‘I could stay like this forever and never get sick of it’ which may have been a tad dramatic, but it was true.
