FIRST MEET. - Simon Ghost Riley x Fem Reader short fic !!
â your husband, Simon, takes you to meet his best friend for the first time.
You laid in your husband, Simonâs arms. His hand absentmindedly running through your hair, other hand secured on your baby bump, gently caressing it.Â
After you had told him you were pregnant, he had been more protective than ever.Â
He was deep in thought, eyes focused on the ceiling. You knew that when he zoned out like this, it was because he was thinking of something serious.Â
âI wanna take you to see Johnny, luv.â His rough voice gruffed, eyes trailing down to meet yours.Â
Johnny. Simon didnât speak much of him. You knew they worked together, but that was it. He always seems to go quiet when Johnny is brought up.Â
âR- Really?â You choked, wide eyes meeting his. It was a true surprise; he never spoke of the man, and now he wants to take you to see him?Â
âYeah.â He whispered, slightly nodding his head. Simon had a tendency to be veryâŚreserved. âItâs about time, I reckon.â
And just like that, you two were sat in the car, in silence. The radio was off; this wasnât a time for music, Simon said.Â
Your hands nervously played with the ripped leather of the seat; a bad habit you had gained while being nervous. Simon didnât mind though. Anything to ease your mind.Â
The drive continued on in tense silence, Simonâs hands gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were turning white.Â
He was never good at showing his emotions, so you got better at reading him through the little things. He was sat up a little straighter than usual, his jaw was clenched, and he occasionally moved a hand to his chest to touch his dogtags.Â
After what felt like an eternity, the car stopped. Simon got out, walked to your side and helped you out aswell. It seemed like you were in the middle of nowhere. Is this where you die?
No. Surely Simon wouldnât do that.Â
His tattooed hand held your hand, starting to pull you along. You walked down a pathway, onto an open meadow, stopping by the cliff, overlooking the water.Â
âHey, Johnny.â Simon gruffed quietly, his eyes zoned into the distant sunset. âFinally brought the missus around. Sad you couldnât actually meet her, but I know youâre up there watchinâ us.â
You stayed silent, even tearing up as you watched your husband speak to his late friend.Â
âEven managed to knock her up.â He muttered, a chuckle-like sound following. ââs a boy. Weâre gonna name him Johnny.â
You two sat there, watching the sunset, Simon truly opening up to you. He told you everything about his and Johnnyâs friendship, he told you how he passed, and everything after it. How Simon came here every week.Â
After the sun had finally set, Simon let out a soft sigh. âWe need to get going, luv.âÂ
âSee you again next Friday, Johnny.â Simon spoke, before grabbing your hand, helping you up and beginning to lead you back to the car.
He opened his heart to you a little more today, and youâll forever cherish that.Â

Simon pushed the stroller down the dirt path, your toddler son babbling in there, playing with his pacifier.Â
Finally making it to the opening, he let out a sigh, âThat path definitely ainât made for strollers.â
He watched the sunset with a smile again. âJohnny, meet little Johnny. Sorry we havenât come by sooner, itâs been hectic since the birth.â
Simonâs eyes were focused on little Johnny, as he took in another sharp breath. âYouâve properly met my wife now then, havenât you?â
Tears glossed his eyes as he moved his eyes to the sunset; it was more colorful than usual.Â
âYou better keep âer company until I get there. But not too much, eh? Sheâs still my bloody wife, even if sheâs up there now.â
