relying on escapism to ease the pain

It's a long shot, but...

So, there is a student in my (old) school going into fifth grade. He's seriously the sweetest child in the world- kind, helpful, caring, etc. He's a HUGE Swiftie, and I actually met him because he walked in one day with neon pink glasses and told me that he's in his Lover Era (lol). Recently, he's been struggling a LOT with bullying. In this school especially, being a boy and being feminine is seen as a weakness, and he often presents as feminine. He is called homophobic slurs, and while we are working to educate the students and explain that this isn't okay, anyone who works with kids knows that kids can be cruel. On top of all of this, his family is currently unhoused.

It occurred to me that while it's a HUGE long shot, I'd like to try to get him the 22 Hat during one of the Indianapolis shows this Fall. I am more than willing to work with the other teachers to fund transportation and a hotel for himself and his mom to the concert if they're given a ticket. I know thousands of people are pushing for amazing kids as well, but I'm hoping @taylorswift and @taylornation might consider him.

We watch him develop, he grows closer to his siblings and mother, to his classmates, and even makes friends. We see him smile more and relax a little. He's more open than he ever was. And I'm not negating that development.

But he's still used as a weapon, by society and by his father (ya know the one that promised to make it up to them, to try to be better.) He's given the task to be his family's 'Hero' while also being a CHILD. A CHILD having to fix the mistake of his adult parents (Endeavor,) by fighting his OLDER BROTHER because suddenly, SUDDENLY after all those years Endeavor doesn't want to lay a hand on his child. So now Shoto has to be the weapon to save the world. It's not his fight, he's literally 16. WTF! That development from Endeavor has become completely mute in my eyes because of that, because despite promising to change he uses Shoto as a weapon to fix his shortcomings, and we get no real narrative that it should be seen as a bad thing. Nothing to paint this behavior as a negative to Endeavors character or even anger from Shoto.
