WELL THAT'S A FUCKING SURPRISE.
"WHAT? NO THAT CANâT BE RIGHT. LET ME SEE THAT."
Karkat grabbed the piece of paper out of Nepetaâs hands paws and looked at it closer.
Yup, she was right. Commoner precinct, apartment complex 1 room 6.Â
"OH. WELL I GUESS WEâRE LIVING TOGETHER THENâŚ"
He wasnât upset. At least it was someone he knew, rather than a stranger.
And they got along ok.Â
It was just sort of a shock. He wasnât expecting her to even be here, let alone living in the same block as him.
"WELL, ARE YOU ALL MOVED IN? DID THEY TAKE YOUR CLAWS TOO?"
The least he could do was make small talk. He didnât want to make her feel unwelcome.Â
Nepeta just about resisted the urge to roll her eyes as Karkat snatched the paper. She hadnât expected him to take her word, really, very few trolls were that trusting, but still! Rude! Equius would have been having a fit.
Still, it was quite nice to know that Karkat hadnât changed much in the time sheâd been dead.
She grinned brightly. âItâll be fun! I purromise, I am so good at fun.â Probably not the kind of things Karkat would find fun, but it was the thought that counted.
Her grin turned sheepish, and she suddenly found her shoes incredibly interesting. âMs Leijon offurs her apawlogies and confesses she was mostly being furry curious about her hivemate.â Role playing as a defence? She had no idea where that notion could have come from! She cleared her throat slightly, looking up from her shoes. âBut ummm. I donât really have anything to move in?â
She pulled a face. âUnfurtunately!â She pulled one of the plastic replacements sheâd been given from a pocket. âI got these, though. I could purrobably hunt with them if it wasnât too big.â
