Daighila/ Fanzui Xiangfa - split 7" Got a bunch of awesome records today, but this one blew me away! A split between the Malaysian band Daighila and Chinese band Fanzui Xiangfa. Daighila play a crushing form pf darl emoviolence, kinda a mix between Louise Cyphre and Orchid (I know those references are "used", but it's extremely fitting!) while Fanzui Xiangfa do a more traditional hardcore, but in the sense of Brutal Knights and Career Suicide. V/A - We've Lost Beauty LP on File Thirteen Records Released in memory of Christopher Horn, a kid that only lived to be 16, in 1995. I really think this compilation sums up all the amazing aspects of the emo scene in the mid 90s. You have everything from pop-punk-ish emo to more of a emo-violence burst of aggression. It's such an amazing line-up, and all the songs are fantastic! Anton Bordman - S/T 7" on Moganono Anton Bordman was a chaotic emo-violence band from Providence, RI. These guys were made up of only two members, a bassist and a drummer who also share vocal duties. This band makes so much noise for a two-piece, you won't believe your ears! Fast, complex, political and full of emotional distress, these dudes were simply amazing. They only released two 7" records in the short time they were around. The release featured here was their first outing, released on Moganonon Records. Extremely underrated and an amazing band! Love the artwork, and every song title is pasted onto the booklet itself, as well as the band's name on the cover has gotten the similar treatment. So, after seeing my friend Henrik's tumblr about vinyl, I though "what the hell...". I love just surfing and discovering peoples blogs and tumblrs about vinyl and DIY in general. Seeing that I run a small distro and label with my friend Henrik, it kinda falls natural to be more than a little interested in vinyl and the scene we're a part of. I'll mostly post about emo, screamo, hardcore and whatnot, but I'll also post about records I listen to and love outside of those genres.
