The girl screamed, but Elain moved. As Azriel battled to keep them airborne, keep his grip on them, my sister sent a fierce kick into the beast’s face. Its eye. Another. Another. It bellowed, and Elain slammed her bare, muddy foot into its face again. The blow struck home.

“Azriel still cradling Elain to his chest. He dripped blood behind him the entire time—a trickle compared to the torrent that should be leaking out.”

“Azriel rasped, swaying on his feet, “We need Helion to get these chains off her.” Yet Elain didn’t seem to notice them as she rose up on her toes and kissed the shadowsinger’s cheek.”

Like really?

You saw Feyre withering away in the SC.

You saw her getting abused by your “best friend” and didn’t do anything to help her out of the situation.

You saw she was becoming healthy in the NC and still try to take her back to her abuser by force.

You only decide to start helping Feyre to see if her sister “is worth it”.

You get saved by Feyre’s mate and friends and look at her with such disgust that Rhys, Cassian and Azriel felt the need to protect her.

(And I’m not even gonna list all the condescending things he said to Feyre)

But sure… he didn’t know he was a villain in her story…

I invite the ACOTAR fandom to read the following analysis, in which I will put forth a rigorously researched, evidence-based argument that flawlessly explains why Elain Archeron will almost certainly have singing as her chosen art form, as opposed to Feyre’s painting, and Nesta’s dancing.

Why would Elain even be afraid of Gwyn taking her place? How could Gwyn even take her place when she isn't an Archeron? Gwyn has no place in the IC anyway; she is Nesta's friend. Gwyn is nothing to the IC.
