And volume resounds

But, power comes in ancient whispers

Slowly handed down

Shoulder-to-shoulder, (but

Sometimes, toe-to-toe)

Relationships have ups and downs

Ride the ebb and flow

Opportunity knocks

But, you're unprepared

On your feet and get the door

And - do not be scared

Panaceas global

Heralded by some

Laughing lastly will be all those

Banging their own drum

Some people talk bigger

Some are reticent

Actions speak louder than words

Heat that's tight in humid

No let up, no chill

Sweltering, no shelter from it

Beating closer still

If you're feeling lowly

And, you've lost your smile

Count up all the little blessings

That you have in life

Splash - iced water, freezing

Snowy, blowy skies

Shiver in the snow and ice, as

Breath clouds hang outside

Innovative concepts

Save us time and cash

This allows for other pursuits:

Pinnacle panache

It pays to share concerns

Get things off your chest

Cut your demons down to size

Mind then put at rest

He has a vast knowledge

Encyclopaedic brain

But, does he know what he doesn't know?

Should these things remain

Months turn into weeks, and

Weeks turn into days

Life can make you test yourself

Do not be afraid

Assemble your woodwinds

And, of course, your strings

Then, you have brass and percussion

Instruments that sing

Taciturn Jurassic

Tuba juice chicanes

A workaholic's slush fund calls out

Black runs' darkest name

A head filled with knowledge

A heart filled with peace

A mortal soul so filled with kindness

Growing will not cease
