I dont know why but I think parents think that if you repeatedly tell your child to do something to the point of it seeming as a compulsion, it will make them feel passionate abt it.

When I was in 7th grade I remember me and my bestie sitting in the library at our class trying to read the science book of 8th grade. We were like hmm what should we read, until we came upon THE chapter, Reproduction in animals. Skip to the part where we were wondering how sperms get to the egg. And I don't know out of what cursed corner of her brain she got it, she went " What if men cut some of their skin from their hands and women eat it" and my dumbass goes WHERE DO THE SPERMS COME TO SKIN THEN? instead of actually doubting the validity of that theory. AND CONFIDENTLY REPLIES "ThE bLooD??"
