Learning about the canons of page construction.
Another Colour Theory Resource
Color Theory in Web UI Design by UXPin
What I like about this free ebook is in addition to standard explanations of colour combinations, the authors take us though concise case studies of various websites, explaining why these combinations work and how they affect our experience.
This is the best basic colour theory guide I have seen yet. It’s a quick and worthwhile read! Good for people like me who have thus far found colour theory rather dry.
They have a whole selection of free ebooks on UX Design.

Typography Project II – Expressive Type
This assignment is from Designing With Type.
Typography Project I: Terms – Pt. 2
(Plus a bit of history.)
Again, main sources:
I Love Typography – History of Typography Series John Boardley covers the history of serif typefaces in five parts. Really good resource. Helpful for learning how to classify typefaces.
Design is History – Type Classification Very brief overview.
And Just by Type by Simon Garfield has some good stories.
The middle “l” should have been higher up, I think.
Just practicing.
Learning about the history of type
(Will make a visual representation tomorrow.)

Just My Type by Simon Garfield (I read this last year, but it’s relevant here. A lot of cool stories about type designers.)

Adding structure to the posting process
Because right now there is none.
Adding structure to the day
A rough breakdown of what my days should look like. I haven’t decided if I will actually use a time sheet for time spent on projects, yet. This is mainly so that when I’m reading a book I’m not thinking about how I should be doing something else.
